Some of you might know from my recent blogs that we had a family reunion just this week,

And I can't still get over the adventure and the enjoyment I've got from the event.

I was so refreshed and a got more inspired to do more everyday, for my family and for myself.

Everyone in the family seems having a life, and I realized I am not so happy with mine, when there is no reason to be.

I decided to enjoy my life to and be happy and work harder each day. See the beauty in everything.

However for this blog I would love to share you all the things I loved in my time spent with my relatives.

First was the Katmon or the Elephant Apple (Philippine Catmon) . Katmon is a fruit from an endemic tree only found in the Philippines.

I was just walking by in the backyard of my uncle's house and saw an strange tree. I quickly looked for a long stick to get some fruit and ran to my uncle and ask about it. And I learned that it was edible. So with all my curiousity, I peeled it.

It is so hard get peeled, it has a lot of skin, but when I opened it, a love ly flesh brusted out. I took a bite and tasted a very strange fruit. It was a little sweet and sour, like an apple and lemon mixed together. It taste so good for, with the fact that I really love citrus fruits,

Second was this Mother Chicken with her baby chicks. As I went back to the backyard to pick more Katmon I saw a fat chicken, I also got curious ed and wondered with the chicken is fat in the province, and when I cam near, I saw that the baby chicks are just chilling under their mother's wing. Since I was so mean to scare the mother chicken, so the little ones run out and tweet loudly.

The provincial life. I will always miss the provincial life I used to love. Fresh wind, fresh food, kind people and the basic life.

I also love the Lambanog. Lambanog, as I would later learn, comes from the fermented sap of the coconut tree. This is then distilled to make the drink more potent. It tastes ling gin and vodka mixed together. It is very native in the Quezon Province in the Philippines and is one of the most Famoust products the province has. Lambanog usually has a 80% to 90% alcohol content.
