These two owls come buy every couple weeks For the last year. One sits on top of the electric pole and the other in a tree across the street. Same spot every time. They just sit there and hoot back and forth. Like two hunters communicating back and forth. Hoot Hoot, Hoot Hoot for a couple hours as to say. Did you see anything, No did you see anything. and again. Did you see anything, No, did you see anything, over and over.
I must admit its nice when they show up. Sometimes I'll just sit out front and watch them for awhile.
Do you see the claws on them.

I took this picture when it was in the middle of asking "Did you see anything" Hoot hoot

There not the clearest of pictures. I took it with my camera. NIKON Colorpix L810 With an added feature of a spider crack LCD. LOL If I ever got $300 dollars for a new camera I would buy Steem and power up.

Thank you all for the best wishes I received. They were a bad couple of days. Working to catch up and have a clear head. I am doing better and gettin back in the saddle here. I took it easy today and don't want to push to hard.

I'm sorry that you've had some rough days, but I'm glad you're mustering through them; what else can you do?

I had a student years ago for a project bring her hawk trainer with a hawk! to school and she was talking about all different birds including the hawk but also owls. Apparently, they are one of the dumbest birds going! They can swivel their heads because they have such little brains. Seriously! We've been duped by cartoons and disney into thinking "the wise owl" lol

That's funny made me laugh
I found one it had a bad wing. I would feed it every day to health it back. one day it was gone I look all over and ask everyone if they saw it, in case it walked away. Was happy and sad because I thought it flew away.

I went over to the little house where the natives would stay and use to make a fire for some rice to mix with dog food. Low and behold feather all over. The SOB ate my bird and he just stood there and looked at me. You talk about one little pissed little kid. I put my finger up and said I'll be right back. While I was unchaining my dog that SOB jump a 10 ft fence in a single bound and ran faster then the wind never to be seen again. The other two natives were laughing so hard they fell out of the tree they climbed for safety.

I don't know why I wrote all this LOL

hahahaha you wrote it because it's an awesome story!!!

I have thousands of them LOL
My dog went hungry ROFL

hahaha @wolfhart, I can see you needed sleep by this one 😅

wwwhahaha you got me pegged. Have to through a curve ball

This made me remind of a contact I had in Google Plus. She was a Canadian lady and she loved owls!!!

I think they have the snow owls up there. Would be nice to see one in the wild

Hey, @wolfhart.

I was wondering where you were. I'm glad I came looking. I hope things are turning the corner for you, as well as they can I guess.

We don't see owls here. Too urban is my guess. Apparently a cougar has been wandering around in the under development areas of town, though, so maybe we're not too urban for it. :) We do live in a rural area, mostly farm land but there are forest areas down closer to the river. Not sure where the cougar would be from, though. We're quite a few miles away from what I think their habitat would be.

cougar have a very large area they roam and when food is scarce they move to other places. I have seen one here and there crossing the property. Not to often so not to worried.
Doing much better thanks

Well, getting hungry was my guess for the cougar being so far afield. We've lived here for 13 years and this is the first I've heard of one. Not sure what's changed food wise, but I agree. Something must have.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. This place needs you around. :) And I like running into you everywhere I go, too.

LOL my wife thinks I am having an affair. I keep telling her I have to go to London or some other place this weekend that I make up. One of these days she will have a bag pack for me and volunteer to take me to the airport. LOL

My wife just thinks I'm wasting my time. As it is, I may be the one packing her bag and taking her to the airport. :)

LOL
I get a lot of support from my wife. I joke about it a lot. But she has had it rough and is a trooper about it.

Lol'd at

If I ever got $300 dollars for a new camera I would buy Steem and power up.

yea but its true LOL

300 might get you a gopro? I don't know. All I have is a crappy cell camera but it seems like good camera gear costs enough to make you a dolphin on this site just about lol

LOL yea but it can get me close to 300 shares of steem. I brought that camera over 5 yrs ago and just over $100 bucks. A half ass camera will cost around a grand.
I'll be damned if I am going to spend that kind of money. Maybe when I hit Orca or steem hits 20K. Maybe next year :)

I love owls. I sure miss seeing them everyday or hearing them.🧡 thank you for the beautiful pictures they sure brightened my day more then u know.

Good I am glad they did. They do for me. sometimes they are there at night and can hear them bet hard to see

Those birds may be paying you a visit. They are inviting you out, don't you think?

I may have missed something but whatever you're going through, it is good to know that you're back on the saddle again. And may you continue riding!

Its nice when they show up. but they are here to hunt. good for them. field mice and snakes grab them all.

Thank you

That sounds like them. During my childhood in the farm, I remember my mother telling us not to harm these birds because they are predators to pests in the rice field. How about getting one for a pet?

I enjoy having them around when they deiced to show up. I made a reply to lynn above you should read it about one I was trying to help after a wing injury

Oh yeah, I read about that SOB dog who was quick to get his way out. Too bad, some pets do not go together.

That guy ate my owl and I was getting my dog to eat him. That dog was famous the natives called him Tarzan. That's why he ran like hell LOL. never came back to even get his paycheck.

I see. I get the clearer picture now. You're mean to feed him to Tarzan huh! Hahaha!

What breed is Tarzan?

Damn right I was. Kill and eat my bird that I spent 2 weeks feeding and healing
I have no Idea what breed he was or the mix. Could have had some cat in him. big mean and very protective. once he starts chewing on a person its over.

Hahaha this got me cracking🤣. Hoot hoot hoot again? Hoot hoot hoot. Never knew the sound kf an owl until now. I have learnt something new hoot!!!!

LOL I am glad you enjoyed it. This was the first time I was able to get some good pictures of them and I got them both.

Yea I totally enjoyed it. My regards to them when they come around again. Should I say hoot regards haha

I am so glad I am not the only one that holds conversations like that. I do it to people too. The hubby and I will be out and I'll startup based on the looks of their faces. Kind of like a REALLY bad version of bad lip reading :P

Glad you're getting things back on track. I wish I could say the same. No energy leads to a very dull tryskele.

Other then that life is good LOL . I can't complain, it doesn't do any good.
I don't pay to much attention to people. And never go into crowds or where people congregate
