Saturday and I have been slacking on Steemit. The Past week has been a taxing one. If you have followed the post over the past week you will know what I am talking about. I made the comment that I would pay for it and the bill collector is here to get his due. We pay for things in one way or another. There is nothing in this life that is free.
I did fall behind and getting caught up. All comments are up to date and posting has suffered the most. So just some information to keep up to date.
There are flagging going on to the people in my circle. There is not much that can be done but the flags are more of a nuisance then anything else. Just let the people around you know and I for one will give an upvote to counter them. I have once again come under their fire, But that was more self inflected then them seeking me out. I gave @arcange on his comments a couple of votes and it drew the gnats. Thats OK because the more they flag me the less power they have to flag lower accounts not that matters or damages their Rep. It is a little Hart breaking.

It is days like this that remind me of the friendships that I have developed over the past 5 1/2 months that I have been here. It is a nice thing to be able to talk, communicate with them for any reason or no reason. To share a thought or frustration. Knowing that they are there at any time and have a real conversation. Its a nice thing to have and share. I am lucky to have developed this kinship and will never take it for granite.
It is the weekend and I wish all of you a good one. You families to be safe and strong. I have a lot of reading to do. And will be a little slow for the next day or two.

Awww I'm sorry to hear that you are paying for all of your hard work @wolfhart. I was actually wondering about you today when I didn't see you around too much.
The flagging is all bs right now. Not sure what or who is behind it all, but it's kind of you to support those who are being affected by it.
I sincerely hope you feel better soon, although I know the pain that you normally live with and know it is a burden.
Should be a couple days before I get a good handle on it again. You know the deal, you live with it every day.
The flagging is from the steemit defense league or so they call themselves. Didn't look today for flags. I don't worry about them to much and just carry on

I appreciate the mention, and also the fact that you've done a post, too. I hope things improve for you. I've not been aware of what's been going on, and that makes me feel like I better go find out what you're referring to.
STEEM is what we do when either there's not something more important or pressing, and we do it until we don't need to or want to do it anymore. If that sounds vague and like too much is left up to interpretation, it is! But that's the way it is around here, right?

We all have our reasons. And it is different for everyone of us. It however has a direct relationship to ones character. No one can hide from that for a long period of time
I agree about the character part and it relating to what we do here. I'm not sure entirely what you meant by it, but in my mind, if you decide you need to truncate what you're doing because it's interfering with other things you need to do with providing for a family, being with your family, or other responsibilities and opportunities, that would speak to character, too. So, I guess there would be situations in my mind where being of good character would pull you away, rather than it being something to do with giving up because it's too hard, or doing something else with your STEEM time that isn't good or productive.
Ones character has to do with everything. The type of person one is to include the decisions one makes. Here and in everyday life. How one treats people.
Take Jerry for example I can't say he is a person of a good character. or the Steemit flaggers.
We all make mistakes but that is not what we are talking about and a mistake can be corrected and made right.
Okay, so you're talking more along the lines of bad actors, or those with at best, questionable tactics. Okay. I agree. We can't go along too terribly far before our true character starts to reveal itself. We can pretend and say all that we want, but at some point our actions are going to speak louder than our words.
Which means we may be saying we believe in the STEEM platform while everything we do will undermine it. We might get away with it for a time, but eventually, it all catches up to us.
I believe that. and have seen it.
There is a saying give some one enough rope and they will hang themselves.

Little sore, but my joints are killing me and thats from something else. The water is up and completed that yesterday or the day before when I did the post about it.

I try not to because its a heavy duty Opioid. side effect are not pleasant

Joint pain is just one of the side effects. Without going to deep into medical history. There is nothing that can be done so we will just leave it at that.

I take this all with a grain of salt. and get up every day, mostly. lol
I also started collecting a couple of flags yesterday. It doesn't do much against my account, but I could see that for newer accounts it could be more damaging. I'm not sure what triggers it, I have a feeling it is just random drive-bys. But it did lead me to start thinking, that if they had a little bit more weight (or a lot of weight) behind them, it could really start devestating new and existing smaller accounts. Thus cutting the legs out from the Steemit base...perhaps something to keep an eye on.
Supporting @steemclearners or @arcange will do it. I am going to increase my support to them because of it.
Yes newbies could have minor damage and a little disillusioned by it. I will through some support to them also when I find them.
It is best to just ignore them, any delegation to them are being removed from them in order to keep them gnats.
Flagging caused by mischief should be delt with by the community and condemned, cause it is hard working bloggerd like yourself that suffer.
We just need to make sure we take care of any who are damaged from them as a community. The bigger fish are doing the hard work against them and doing a great job

Its all part of life and I wouldn't change any of it. I have been dealing with this for over a decade. It is what it is.
