Puto Special
Puto (steamed white cake) is one of the traditional food of the Philippines , it's one of what we called , kakanins . This one made by her is actually a ready mix recipe, but i am just so amazed and so glad to see her do it , like the preparation , but the actual cooking on a steamer was done by her mom. So just wanna share the simple recipe from rhe actual "Galinco's Sarap Pinoy Puto".
Ingredients
- 2 packs (200g each) PInoy Puto Ready Mix*
- 1 cup of water*
- 1/2 cup refined sugar
- 3 teaspoons cooking oil
- butter for the mould
Procedure:
1.) Half fill steamer with water and boil.
2.) Grease puto moulds with butter or margarine. Set aside.
3.) In a bowl , combine ready mix and water , then slowly stir for a minute.
4.) Add sugar and slowly stir it for 30 seconds.
5.) Add cooking oil and slowly mix for another 30 seconds.
6.) Pour the mixture in the greased mould.
7.) Steam for 25 minutes .
8.) Let it cool down . Serve!
