Hello Fellow steemians from all over the world , Happy Halloween! How was your 1st of November? Hope everything's good. About mine , i spent it with the in-laws. Since it's holiday time , we're invited to come over because they're gonna be preparing some goodies and delish foods . I was very excited , because come on! food! ,LOL. I am eating all types of food now unlike when i was just a kid and even when i was just single and not a mother yet. So there, we went there early and we had the chance to see some preparations. Puto Special

Puto (steamed white cake) is one of the traditional food of the Philippines , it's one of what we called , kakanins . This one made by her is actually a ready mix recipe, but i am just so amazed and so glad to see her do it , like the preparation , but the actual cooking on a steamer was done by her mom. So just wanna share the simple recipe from rhe actual "Galinco's Sarap Pinoy Puto".


Ingredients

  • 2 packs (200g each) PInoy Puto Ready Mix*
  • 1 cup of water*
  • 1/2 cup refined sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cooking oil
  • butter for the mould


Procedure:

1.) Half fill steamer with water and boil.

2.) Grease puto moulds with butter or margarine. Set aside.

3.) In a bowl , combine ready mix and water , then slowly stir for a minute.

4.) Add sugar and slowly stir it for 30 seconds.

5.) Add cooking oil and slowly mix for another 30 seconds.

6.) Pour the mixture in the greased mould.

7.) Steam for 25 minutes .

8.) Let it cool down . Serve!

So there's a very simple recipe that I myself is planning to do my own version. So we can have puto anytime we want , no need to wait for fiestas. Hope i somehow made your mouth watery 😂. Enjoy the reat of your day/ night guys and gals!
