ULOGS 002: BLACK WEEKEND AND GLOOMY MONDAY!

Happy Monday everyone although it isnt a happy Monday for me. Today I stared at my screen thinking of what post to make. Although I have posts in my archives but have you ever been in such a sad mood that you just don't want to do anything but stare into blank space?

I wouldn't call myself an ulogger because I'm still new into it, thanks to @surpassinggoogle who has created this avenue for everyone to have platform to talk about ourselves so yeah I'm about to do same.

Let me start from my weekend. It's been a series of good and bad events for me. The rains are much and I'm not a rainy season person especially in this part of Nigeria where we have poor drainage system. It gets flooded whenever it rains. There is however a good side to it as I sleep better at night nowadays.

On Saturday I went to use the ATM only to be told issuer inoperative, whatever they usually say but I know it to mean my bank's network at that moment is poor only for me to debited. This is the 2nd time in one month that I'm being debited without being credited. I don't understand our banking sector or can someone explain to me why this happens sometimes? It messed my plans up because Saturday was my younger sisters birthday and all the plans I had for her couldn't materialize. Anyway she still had fun as her friends made sure they came out to celebrate with her.

I have eaten so much cake and now I've added a lil weight. Oh dear! How do I get rid of it now? Longthroat won't kill me. I just have to bring out those trainers and resume my exercise.

On Sunday I came back from church to meet no light at home and I had so much food stored in the fridge. I wasn't really worried because I had my generator handy. As if I have not had enough bad luck for the weekend, I turned on the generator and some minutes later saw there was a leakage and my fuel was draining fast. I quickly became an engineer, if you like shake your head and swung into action to trace where the leakage may be coming from. After some minutes I noticed it was the fuel connecting pipe that cut and nothing could be done about it and of cos it was too late to go buy a new one so i angrily went to bed hoping and praying they restore power. Well, power was restored but sadly it was low voltage.

Today is Monday and I got up this morning very hopeful and cheerful only to get the office and got a bad news. A dear colleague passed away yesterday. The news sent cold shivers down my spine and even as at the time d writing this, I can't still shake it off. The mood in the office today was a solemn one. Everyone is mourning. She is a young lady of about 33 years, married with just a kid. Her husband happened to be a colleague too. Late Mrs Uche was a very quiet lady that is very dedicated to her work and always smiling. You can never hear anyone complain about her. It's sad but well, God knows the best. This evening we shall be gathered in her house for a condolence visit. My eyes are red from crying so much already.

It was an eventful weekend. I just hope the rest of the week will be filled with pleasant news and great surprises.
