Ulography #7: The Innocent One !!!

This is my Ulography #7, basically Ulography is Ulog + Photography..

Today, I will be sharing the photographs of an innocent loyal dog that I met on my way back from hills.

Basically the dogs found in the hills (Himachal Pradesh) are known as Gaddi Kutta and they are also known as Indian Panther Hound as well as Mahidant Mastiff.

These types of dogs are multi-talented and are used by shepereds.
They are strong enough to fight against the Snow Leopard, a full grown male is capable of taking down two wolves at a time on its own and are considered quite intelligent.

It is a calm and lovable dog who loves to be around his owner.

This breed of dog is believed to be developed long time ago when Indian King Mahidant crossed Tibetian Mastiffs with local wild Mastiffs.
Earlier these dogs were used to take down predators such as panthers and wolves.

It is said that three to four members of this breed are enough to guard a flock of 1500-2000 Sheep.
These dogs are being used to transport the supplies to areas that are not reachable by foot or helicopter due to harsh weather conditions.

This breed is famous for its power and stamina and is evolved to survive in harsh enviornment.
They live upto 10-12 years.
