ULOGS: - I Made My First Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream

in #ulogs6 years ago

Wazzup You-loggers! Today I just made an Ice cream for our little baby boy who loves ice cream so much. Our nephew who lived with us whom we considered our own child already loves ice cream so much that every after meal he always says "em-em" which means ice cream. It's like he was addicted to it. We also bought him ice cream and stock it inside the refrigerator for him. But my wife said "why don't we make our own ice cream?". The idea started at Facebook when she saw a DIY ice cream.

Our little boy's 1st time encounter with ice cream when we buy him cornetto

So, we went to the grocery and bought the ingredients for our DIY Cookies n' Cream ice cream. Don't worry, I'm gonna share to you the process step by step below so you can make your own ice cream too.

For the ingredients, you will need to buy 1 can of condensada, 1 or 2 nestle all purpose cream and cream-o (if you will make cookies n' cream) or Milo (if you want chocolate flavored ice cream)

I suggest buying 2 nestle cream so the ice cream will not be too sweet. We bought 1 nestle cream because we thought it is fine but the end product is too sweet so take my suggestion. hehe

What we did after buying the ingredients is that we put the nestle cream and condensed milk inside the freezer and let it froze. We pulled it out after 4 hours inside the freezer.

When it is hard enough or it is already frozen. I and my wife started making the ice cream. So now, I will share to you how we did it in a step by step process.

1st step

We quickly opened the nestle cream and the condensed milk and pour it into a bowl(ice cream box).

NOTE: put your bowl inside a bigger bowl full if ice. It will help keep the mix lift. We need to make sure that the mix is lifting or at least not dwindling so that the outcome will be super soft like the real ice cream.

2nd step

Next, we mixed it using a mixer. Mix it for at least 15-20 minutes so it will lift up and it will be mixed properly. Properly mixing the cream and milk will help make your ice cream super soft.

3rd step

Crash your cream-o until it makes into a small flakes (if you are making cookies n' cream) then slowly pour it into the mix.

Optional: you can leave at least 2 packs of cream-o for the toppings.

Just keep on mixing until it is properly mixed. At least 20 minutes of mixing for it to be super soft. Then if you think it is now mixed properly, you can put it on an ice cream case or box. Then that's it.
