Spirit moved through the Lion's Den retreat

We just finished a powerful retreat this weekend and once again lives have changed and miracles unfolded!  While the topics being talked about is sacred and confidential, I can share some significant signs that Spirit sent to help us this weekend.

Friday morning, a few hours before the men showed up, Carey saw a Great Grey Owl sitting on top of our wind turbine in front of the house.  I looked up the totem of the owl and its spirit sent her a powerful sign.

• Intuition, ability to see what others do not see
• The presence of the owl announces change
• Capacity to see beyond deceit and masks

Powerful medicine for Carey as we go into a healing retreat for men.  Then Spirit sent me a message as I found a chickadee inside our atrium of the house.  The bird managed to leave by itself, so I looked up that totem and found this message:

• Truth and Knowledge
• Flexibility
• Courage
• No matter how we feel about ourselves, we need to create our own unique voice and fight for what we believe in.

These are great spiritual messages to receive just before a retreat takes place.  But what blew me away the most happened today as we were doing work.  A butterfly flew out from a gunny sack that we were using for medicine bags.  It is unusual to see a butter fly here when it is -30C outside.  So it surprised us all to see the beautiful creature.  I was equally shocked to find out that one of the ladies at the Goddess Lair retreat, wrote a poem and mentioned a butterfly in her work of art.  This kind of stuff cannot be ignored!  When I looked up the spirit animal of the butterfly, all we could do was laugh and sit in awe off Spirit.

Butterfly is about rebirth and the lightness of being. You will turn to spiritual and emotional matters in your life and you will go through different cycles of the life.

That is exactly what we were doing all weekend.  While most of us spend our waking moments working on physical and intellectual pursuits, many of us ignore the emotional and spiritual aspects of who we are.  The work that we do within these retreats focuses on bringing balance to all four aspects of our being; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.  We work hard on the spiritual and emotional matters of our lives so that we can find that balance.  To have the butterfly show up, similar to the one in the picture above, is a powerful acknowledgment of the work we do and humbling to witness it all.  

While I work on this post, I was reminded of something else I saw last night.  I was checking fires after the rest of the group went to bed and I saw a meteor streak across the sky from east to west, break up into a few pieces and then quickly burned out.  At the moment it was an amazing sight to see and I forgot to even mention it to anybody.  But when I started working on this post I remember the event and decided to look up what it meant. 

Seeing a shooting star means that there is going to be a big change in your life.  Seeing a shooting star means that you will achieve your destiny. Not the  physical one, but the spiritual one. You will attain your higher self  soon, and you should get ready for that. It is the reminder of your  connection to the universe. - source

In the category of 'you cannot make this shit up', I must admit that I cannot ignore what spirit has been saying to us all this weekend.  Spirit danced, played and worked with us all over the course of the three days and I am constantly humbled and in awe of how beautiful it all works out.  Even as a facilitator, we cannot plan it all and we work hard to allow spirit to change the plans and trust that it will unfold in ways more beautiful than we could ever plan for.  This weekend was no different and the results were spectacular.  

To the brave men and women who attended retreats this weekend here and in Edmonton, I express my gratitude and appreciation for being 'all in' during these works of miracles and I thank you all for making these events spectacular beyond belief.  Healing miracles do happen and we are witnessing them unfold at every event now.  It is stunning and amazing to witness.  We are breaking the cycles that have been passed from generation to generation as we challenge core beliefs and work hard to heal, forgive and build new core beliefs to move forward with in our lives.
