Abundant "Colours" Came to Our Doorstep!
Hello Steem-ians! On last Saturday, right before the Eid (Aidil Fitri) celebration, also a national holiday for Malaysia, arrived for muslim converts, we received a surprise from one of our donation trollies.
Could Santa have come early this year?
Probably, as we often start getting ready for our annual Christmas luncheon for under privileged families and childrens home.
Nevertheless Whether it was Santa or not, we do know that there's a Good Samaritan who has (have) decided to bless the kids months in advance; and this truly will help us to plan ahead for our event.
Since 2017, we started our Christmas luncheon where we bless around 200 kids with toys and stationaries at the end of the year so that they will have something to start off the following new year.
Our first year we gave out socks, exercise books, and even pencil cases, where #teammalaysia were part of our collaborator to bless one of the children's home they chose to bless.
Last year when we realised that the kids who attended public schools actually cannot use a common exercise books, we changed from exercise books to 12 piece colour pencils instead.
Now with a HUGE BLESSING of 24 colours (where we have not counted the number in total), we will be able to bless even better gifts for the children; especially those who are older, and will be more appreciative to a bigger range of colours.
Nevertheless, this is one abundant blessing that we truly are greatful, in the celebration of the coming Eid festive for Malaysia. We look forward to stock take this pile and see if we have enough for 200 kids.
Making prominent step for our newsletters
Now with facilities like QR-Code generators, we have managed to make QR codes that will allow passerbys to access to our social media pages that will be placed beside the donation trolleys. We hope with this effort, those who are active in main social media like Facebook and Instagram will be able to follow our accounts for the latest news; which will link back to this platform.
This will also create better traffic not to mention to promote @steemit 's / @partiko' s unique platform. It's definitely a win-win for all.
