We Have Started Packing the 1,000 Kids Pack!
Goodness... we only have about 8 days left before fully ready for the food bags, and we are still so far from completion!
But rest assured, we are not slowing down!
We have started packing for the kids yesterday and this time round, we have decided to give them a little fun and snacks along the way.
Thanks to CSR donations, we have chocolate filled cookies that will be specially packed for them!
However, unlike last year that we only blessed 200 children, we are packing for 1,000 kids, and getting paper bags for them and decorate the paper bags will be unpractical.
So plastic bags of green (for boys) and pink (for girls) were chosen as we received reports that the paper bags were already breaking up easily as you know, kids, they usually may not handle with absolute care.
We do understand about environmental hazards, but for the children, I believe they can keep reusing it as lunch bags too and teach them to reuse plastic bags.
So there is no harm done.
Volunteers kept setting their free time aside to come and arrange the necessary items instead of enjoying their day offs; the dedication of getting the job done is highly commendable as we truly wanted the families and children to have a good time together.
We are truly blessed as more and more people read more about our cause and our mission to Go Big or Go Home this coming Christmas, many more were willing to chip in as charitable exchangers and we managed to use some to top up whatever that is missing from the food packing list; which can still be a lot!
We will soon be able to stock take each and every one of them and the balance we will be reserving for the Christmas event day itself.
We once again would truly like to thank @fundition, @adollaraday , @steemxp , @teammalaysia , @kedjom-keku for always actively supporting through community, comments, upvotes and even SBD donation.
The closer we get to the deadline, the more things we have to manage. We welcome all volunteers outside the Food Bank team to come and experience the food bank life whenever they are free, particularly #teammalaysia and #steemxp Peninsular members!

Children are a heritage, and they are the next generation. Just like you are doing good to help sustain our beautiful planet we call home, we hope to give the children of tomorrow a chance to live and also be a part to help upkeep this place instead of destroying it, at least, with a full stomach and love showing them that they are not forgotten or abandoned.
