Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.

Hello everyone!

We hope that you are all in your best of health!

The entire month of September has been such a blessing to both volunteers and recipients alike; as you have read from our previous post 16 days ago, you would know that we had a huge surprise of two large size 720L freezers came in, only to realise that the blessings from God though the big hearts from donors did not stop at the freezers… MORE came in.

In fact, we might need to post a series of thanks giving and the next few weeks because not only we need to thank the donors, even our recipients would like to thank each and every one of the big hearted CSR and extra volunteers who stepped in to help and reached out to even more recipients in the month of September.

We will edit this post with all the links later so that those who read this will be able to access to the rest of the series of September donors and food distribution later

But let’s just start this post with an overall update with one of our latest volunteer collaboration from a college who engaged with us about their discovery of unnoticed locals who were going through some hard times in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Our volunteers took their day off and came over to help us pack

The college, Mantissa, with their community project exercise they approached us with enthusiastic about the families, and we decided to support the 11 families they reported and our volunteers went an extra mile from their busy schedule to pre-pack these for the college students.

This was the clearest shot we received from the students who sent to us

The process was a success for them although we didn’t manage to receive much clear shots, but the most important is that there are students who decided to go to the field to reach out to these families in help instead of relying on social welfare (government aid) to take action.

That, for us, is a good enough start and we truly hope that more young adults will make that extra mile for others in need.

2 days later we also had another small group of volunteers who wanted to bless 2 families who they found out are going through a hard time and wished to bless them.

We scrap whatever we had and packed 2 food packs for them and this allowed this group of volunteers to connect to the families in need better to understand their situation. We are hoping that they will continue to follow up with the 2 families and through this little gesture, these families will be able to see that there’s always help and to hold on to hope and faith that storms will pass and things will get better.

All these little reports warms our hearts as there are days we wonder do the public truly realise that there are need and are there still compassion and humanity exist majorly; and to our comfort, there are great people out there, just that most of them are not well informed.

And that is why we keep pushing, writing our newsletters, sharing these people’s stories so that maybe, there will be a day where we no longer need to feed them, but able to help them to fish for their own.

Many of these families have young children who are talented and hardworking; and through such network they could one day have an open door to succeed and be a blessing to others.

There’s still much more stories to tell but we won’t overwhelm you in one full post. Do stay tuned to more of our stories that are coming to your reading screen in due time! We are still collecting and compiling photos as we speak.

Volunteers including @omnivori who came to help posing together

Before I pen down, we would just like to say thank you to @fundition (and its readers) and @adollaraday who has been continuously supporting this movement of ours and your prayers too that uphold each and every one of us (volunteers) in the Food Bank daily.
