Rise and Shine!

The rainy season has come now here in the Philippines and its kinda gloomy outside. Hope you're having a good day! I wanna thank a good steemit friend @leeart for introducing me to @upfundme and how it helps steemies like me. So you might think why Im doing this fundraising and almost everyday I post on #upfundme.

A Mother is she who can take place of all others
but whose place no one else can take.

So the reason why Im joining this movement is because of my Mom. She has glaucoma and the doctor told her that she needs to undergo an eye surgery before its too late as it may cost her eye sight.

Her last visit to the ophthalmologist was last April and she just told me about it very recently. She thinks that it might be a burden for me that's why she tried to delay telling me about it. Just an update, her operation may take a while since we are having a problem with her records on Philhealth. We need as much fund as we can for the operation of her eyes.

I have updated my target date because upto now my mom has yet to be scheduled for the operation. Reason is because Philhealth, a government owned corporation which is tied to the Dept. of Health that provides Filipinos with insurance programs, has denied her application. I had to contest the reason for denial because it was kinda unreasonable. As per coordination with Philhealth I was advised to re-file for the eye surgery of my mom. Given this situation, we have to wait again for further notice.

My target is whichever comes first, if I achieve to reach $150 or 56 days. I think that would be enough to support her surgery and medicine otherwise if target goal has not met I might prolong the days. Im seeking the help of this community to help me fund and prepare for her surgery. All the SBD that will be earned will be allocated for her surgery and needed medication afterwards. I will be forever grateful for this community for helping people like me. Thank you #upfundme for this opportunity.

Im still way too far on my target but still Im hoping that I can reach my target. For now, I will be leaving pictures of me and mom. Pictures related to her operation to follow.

Let her tried the coffee jelly frappe from a well-known cafe here in the Philippines. You will notice that her left eye has been affected by cataract already.
