14 February 2019 - Morning over the city
Dresden, Germany
A view out of my hotel window.
Right past the transparent cupola in the shopping center across the way - no more than 100 m from me - was a railroad line. The trains went down the track at quite a clip, 80 km/h for sure. Yet I never heard those trains!
To have a railroad line so well squared away in the US seems like a stuff of science fiction as rattling rails and ties and constant beeps seems to always go hand-in-hand with railroads in the US.
Beautiful view from the window. Thank you for sharing @borepstein
Probably soundproof windows in the hotel? Beautiful photo .
Yes, probably. And good soundproofing in the walls too.
And, most importantly, trains that run smoothly with minimal use of alarms of any kind.
The Germans do everything qualitatively, not once did not hear bad about them
The hotel building looks beautiful and the photo is really captivating , I like the scenery of the surrounding . Nice photo @borepstein
You don't get to see the hotel on this pic as I took it out of my hotel window:)
But it is not a bad looking building:
