My sister @sjarvie5 was in town so we went on one of my favorite scenic drives in Utah. Up the "Nebo Loop" in this picture is actually mount Nebo.

I'm actually hoping to take the airstream up here for a while either this summer or in the fall and do PORTRAITS right here since it's only about 1hr from Provo I'm hoping a few people make their way up there.

This is also from the spot looking the other direction.
It also has the perk of having good cell phone reception so i can continue to do work while I'm there up in the mountains.

FIRE SURVEY

I also wanted to see how last year's big fire effected the area. I learned something... aspens do really really well in fire... pine trees not as much. And many spots remained largely uneffected... or in this case they actually added a bit of color and interest to the scene.

This scene was much more effected but still i think it'll be interesting pictures now and in the fall.

Having a storm roll in really helped add to the images

Like i said there were tons of spots that were unefected by the fires

and they were thriving with green trees and in this case beautiful fields of wild flowers.

However two of my favorite alternate drives were closed... but i think that was mostly due to weather damage and not fire damage.
