First of all, congratulations to @codingdefined for winning the quiz with 9 out of 15 correct answers!
Unfortunately no one managed to get everything correct, so your 30 STEEM are safe for now, @espoem.

A couple of days ago I posted The Utopian History Quiz, which had 22 people enter (and some people who didn't manage to copy and paste the template correctly). Of course there has to be a winner, so that's what this post is about. Instead of just posting who the winner is, I thought it would also be nice to give some additional information about each question. Hopefully you find it interesting!

The individual results can be found here.

Which moderator has reviewed the most contributions?

  1. andrejcibik
  2. knowledges
  3. tykee
  4. espoem
  5. rosatravels

Considering the question it's no surprise to see the names of people who have been involved in Utopian for ages. Some aren't currently reviewing as much as they used to, but since they were around in the early days of Utopian they've managed to gain a big lead over the others. Back then I think we used to be a lot more focussed on the rules, which meant a lot of contributions were instantly rejected. Of course the quality of contributions was much lower back then as well, so it was a lot easier to review a lot in a single day.

Answer: @tykee with 2389 reviews.

7 people got it correct, while 9 people thought it was @rosatravels instead. It was very close, so I'm not surprised a lot of people answered incorrectly.

Which moderator has reviewed the most contributions in a single day?

  1. espoem
  2. ruah
  3. tykee
  4. onos
  5. drigweeu

The answers for this question actually include some former moderators, so if you weren't around a few months ago, then this question would've been even more difficult to answer. Unfortunately the person who has reviewed the most contributions in a single day is no longer with us.

Answer: @onos with 107 reviews on 2018-02-25.

2 people got it correct, while 9 people thought it was @drigweeu instead. This was once again pretty close, so there's no shame in getting this wrong either.

Who gives, or has given, the highest average score per contribution (minimum of 100 reviewed contributions)?

  1. cha0s0000
  2. sachincool
  3. helo
  4. ms10398
  5. crokkon

After seeing the answer to this question you might be thinking "I wish Helo reviews all my contributions". However, as I know Helo, I would say his high average score is caused by the fact that he mostly reviews contributions made by great contributors (like @mkt and @raycoms). So you're wrong to think a high score is guaranteed if he's reviewing your contribution!

Answer: @helo with an average score of 73.5.

6 got it correct, while 7 people thought it was @cha0s0000 instead. Very close!

Who gives, or has given, the lowest average score per contribution (minimum of 100 reviewed contributions)?

  1. espoem
  2. sinem006
  3. nilfanif
  4. codingdefined
  5. fego

As this is the opposite of the previous question you are probably also thinking the opposite: "I wish Sinem never reviews any of my contributions". Don't fret! I think his low average score is more than likely caused by the fact we used to have hundreds of bug-hunting/ideas contributions every single day. Most of those were of a low quality, which naturally means the score they received was also low. Sinem was helping out a lot in both of those categories, I think, so that should explain why.

Answer: @sinem006 with an average score of 26.2.

5 people got it correct, while 12 people thought it was @espoem instead. Poor Espoem! Even Espoem didn't vote for himself.

Who has gone the most consecutive days with at least one review?

  1. arie.steem
  2. knowledges
  3. rosatravels
  4. espoem
  5. ruah

If you know @ruah, then you know he was very busy with the amount of translations that used to appear in the early days of Utopian. Thankfully we have a lot of dedicated people helping out daily, and he was one of those people who was always available.

Answer: @ruah, who reviewed 119 consecutive days in a row.

2 people got it correct, while 7 people thought it was @knowledges instead. It's not surprising a lot of you answered Knowledges - he's a beast!

Who was the first person to review a contribution?

  1. mooncryption
  2. yabapmatt
  3. sircork
  4. turpsy
  5. valchiz

I wasn't around when Utopian started, so I don't have much insight to give here. I'm also not completely sure if this answer is correct. I asked @elear and he said it was possibly the correct answer, so hopefully it is. It was definitely cool to see a familiar (to me at least) name like @yabapmatt in there, as I had no idea he even used to be a moderator.

Answer: @valchiz reviewed his first contribution on 2017-10-18 at 11:32:09 UTC.

2 people got it correct, while 10 people thought it was @mooncryption instead. I'm honestly not sure why.

Who has contributed the most contributions so far?

  1. omeratagun
  2. robin-ho
  3. realinfo
  4. rosatravels
  5. kodeblacc

If you have been around Utopian for a while, then you will know that in the past there have been certain categories that received the majority of contributions. Especially the translations category used to receive an insane amount of contributions. If you knew this, then you were correct in choosing someone who contributes to that category. However, the person who is the correct answer has one advantage: she also contributes amazing contributions to multiple other categories including the video tutorial category!

Answer: @rosatravels with 312 contributions.

6 people got it correct, while 7 people thought it was @realinfo instead. I'm surprised so many people thought it was someone who contributes mainly to the graphics category.

Who has posted the most contributions in a single day?

  1. neupanedipen
  2. lala123
  3. tobias-g
  4. thewizard.studio
  5. zinonweke

At Utopian we strive to reward quality contributions, so in general this means that contributors usually don't post multiple times a day - Rome wasn't built in a day. Of course this differs per category, as someone could easily find multiple bugs or have multiple ideas worth sharing in a day. This means that if you aren't intimate with those categories, then you probably had to guess the answer (like me). Even if you are, then it was probably still guesswork.

Answer: @zinonweke posted 14 contributions on 2018-03-13.

2 people got it correct, while 8 people thought it was @tobias-g instead. Godly bug hunting moderator and contributor, so I'm not surprised a lot of people thought it was him.

Who receives the highest average score per contribution (minimum of 15 contributions)?

  1. buckydurddle
  2. robin-ho
  3. crokkon
  4. scipio
  5. tensor

This was one of my favourite questions and I manually changed the answers to make it even more difficult to answer. If you've been around Utopian for a while then you should recognise at least four of the five names above; @buckydurddle and @tensor consistently provide great video tutorials, @scipio has his famous Python tutorial series and @crokkon consistently impresses with his amazing analysis contributions. A very difficult choice indeed! In the end my analysis concludes that...

Answer: @crokkon with a whopping average score of 85.25 provides the highest quality contributions.

4 people got it correct. This is actually the lowest out of the four people I mentioned earlier. It goes @buckydurddle (7), @tensor (6) and @scipio (5), which shows that it was pretty evenly distributed.

Who has gone the most consecutive days with submitting at least one contribution?

  1. tarikhakan55
  2. omeratagun
  3. kalvas
  4. yandot
  5. susanli3769

Of course you shouldn't be surprised that this is once again dominated by people who have contributed, or still contribute, to the translations category. The rewards for this category were and still are relatively high. This means there's a lot of incentive to post every day, which is actually possible for some people. So much so that the person who is the correct answer was also a supervisor of the translations category at the time; in between reviewing he was regularly posting his own translations.

Answer: @omeratagun, who contributed 47 consecutive days in a row.

10 people got it correct, while 8 people thought it was @susanli3769 instead. Finally the majority wins!

Who was the first person to submit a contribution?

  1. mkt
  2. gotgame
  3. codewithcheese
  4. antonchanning
  5. yabapmatt

I was personally surprised to see someone who still contributes regularly to Utopian (@mkt) in the answers. Unfortunately for him he doesn't have the honour of being the first contributor (more than likely does for longest active contributor). This honour goes to someone who hasn't posted anything in the last 11 months, which is strange to me. If I was him and discovered Utopian so early on, I would've definitely stuck around!

Answer: @codewithcheese, who posted the first contribution on Utopian.

7 people got it correct, while 7 people thought it was @mkt/@yabapmatt instead. Not surprised as the latter two are probably the most recognisable names out of the five. If you were around on Discord when Elear spoiled it (haha), then congratulations on getting it correct!

Which category has received the most contributions?

  1. tutorials
  2. translations
  3. bug-hunting
  4. graphics
  5. ideas

Well, if you have been reading this post then the answer should come as no surprise. Of course the translations category has received the most contributions! Back in the day there used to be so many translations posted every single day that we had multiple teams just for the translations category. Eventually it got so bad the translation category closed for a while, which resulted in an upswing of contributions in the ideas and bug hunting categories (which didn't end up making the race close at all). Thankfully the current translations category seems to be thriving under DaVinci, which also means it will probably stay top for quite a while.

Answer: translations with 20049 contributions (nearly 1/3 of ALL contributions).

15 people got it correct, while 4 people thought it was bug-hunting/ideas instead. This one was easy!

Which category receives the highest average score per contribution?

  1. video-tutorials
  2. translations
  3. analysis
  4. documentation
  5. tutorials

This was actually a surprise for me, so I don't blame you if you got it wrong. Personally I predicted it would be the analysis category. They don't receive that many contributions, but the quality is generally high. Despite this, and the amount of contributions it has received, the translations category somehow has the highest average score! I don't know if there's something wrong with my data, but it seems on average translations receive a score that is on average 5 higher than the second best category: the analysis category.

Answer: translations with an average score of 73.0.

2 people got it correct, while 13 people thought it was the analysis category instead. I'm really starting to think my data is wrong, haha.

Which project has received the most contributions?

  1. https://github.com/gapminder/dollar-street-pages
  2. https://github.com/steemit/condenser
  3. https://github.com/utopian-io/utopian.io
  4. https://github.com/steemit/steem
  5. https://github.com/ancap-ch/from-en

Two of the above projects are projects that were made infamous by the translations category. Following the trajectory of the previous answers you would assume that it would be one of those two projects, right? Well, you thought wrong! Our very own Utopian project has received the most contributions. This is probably caused by the fact people sometimes didn't really know what to put as the repository, so they used to just copy the example repository they were given. Maybe it's also because people used to submit a lot of ideas and bugs, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I was definitely surprised by this answer as well.

Answer: https://github.com/utopian-io/utopian.io with 2663 contributions.

4 people got it correct, while 12 people thought it was https://github.com/ancap-ch/from-en instead. I really don't blame people who answered a translations project.

Which project receives the highest average score per contribution (minimum of 50 contributions)?

  1. https://github.com/steemit/steem
  2. https://github.com/ancap-ch/from-en
  3. https://github.com/flutter/flutter
  4. https://github.com/steemnova/steemnova
  5. https://github.com/nodejs/i18n

This is actually a deceivingly difficult question, in my opinion. Part of this is my fault, as I forgot to include the "minimum of 50 contributions" bit. Sorry! Anyway, currently there are a lot of translations being submitted to the nodejs/i18n project, which all receive a high score. Then there is the SteemNova project, which has some very skilled developers contributing to it. Of course one of the translation projects makes a return here as well. It's not one of those, though! @tensor has pretty much single-handedly made the Flutter project the highest scored project on Utopian, which is very impressive to me.

Answer: https://github.com/flutter/flutter with an average score of 87.1.

11 people got it correct, while 6 people thought it was https://github.com/steemnova/steemnova. If you know @tensor, then you probably got this right.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this quiz - I hope you enjoyed it, even if some answers might be wrong. I also hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you want to see any more contests like this in the future, then please let me know (any ideas are appreciated).

This was such a fun post! I didn't even try to answer the quiz, as I haven't been around long enough to even have awesome guesses to most questions. But reading the results was great!

I think I'm a fairly active moderator. I'm one of the most active mods most weeks since I've joined, and have the advantage of being a dual-category mod. But seeing how many contributions others have moderated makes me realize just how much work has been done before I ever joined Utopian. It is super impressive. Consistency is key in things such as this, and seeing the consistency others have shown is really an inspiration.

Your contribution has been evaluated according to Utopian policies and guidelines, as well as a predefined set of questions pertaining to the category.

Thanks @didic - with your pace and consistency I'm sure you'll be up there soon enough!

Thank you for your review, @didic!

So far this week you've reviewed 10 contributions. Keep up the good work!

Hahaha, it's so funny to see majority picks the same wrong answer on many questions.
Great insights Amos, thanks for doing this. Also those additional numbers are interesting as well.
I'm already waiting for the 2nd quiz, if there will ever be.

If you have any ideas for a future quiz let me know!

Procrastination made me miss the Quiz. Perhaps, I would have beaten @codingdefined. Smiles. Nice thought from @amosbastian and congrats to the winner.

We were all laughing at @espoem when he took the quiz before anyone else and ended up getting 8 answers correct. Pretty crazy how only @codingdefined ended up scoring higher than him!

Just a point but cant be matched anyways. I'm sure the god only allowed him have the point.
Who else scored 8? you should have included the scores.

There's a link near the top to a gist with everyone's scores and what they got right or wrong (mostly wrong haha).

I've seen it. @oscar21vander managed to score zero...hahahahahahaha...... Crazy Questions.

I upvoted your post.

Best regards,
@Council

Posted using https://Steeming.com condenser site.

Wow really interesting, i missed it all,,,, damn, i know about 7 of those questions correctly.
The quiz would have been fun to Participate on.

There might be some more in the future, so keep a look out!

Congratulations to all winners ✌️

Considering I was not an active member of Utopian I got 5 of them right 😁

haha unfortunately, I see this post after 6 months. ( Thanks to steemplus mention feature.) Thanks for this fun quiz @amosbastian !
