in #utopian-io5 years ago (edited)

The company System76 is a company in charge of the development of equipment of free hardware and this time has completed the fabulous task of creating the first computer completely assembled of free hardware, if as you see, components and free hardware, to Make users have the most powerful free hardware computer in existence.

Designed so that anyone who owns it can easily expand your machine with a number of possibilities and your desktop is prepared for this task by making personalization the main bulwark of the THELIO.

Why has System76 been on a mission to make this happen? What makes you a unique position to do it? Why now?

We're passionate about open source. Both the software and the hardware. We think it's important to apply the same passion we have with software freedom on the hardware itself. Our ultimate goal is to change the perspective of open source projects so that they are considered to be higher quality and superior to the owners. The "Open source " must have the same quality denotation that is associated with the "Artisan crafts ". Yes, when people hear the term "landlord ," They think: "gross. It seems that lacks attention and attention to details "Then we will feel satisfied with the state of open source awareness among the masses.

I am sure it has not been an easy task but the result is shocking, a computer with up to 4 CPU and a capacity of up to 755 GB of ECC memory, is without doubt surprisingly powerful and customizable.

I was struck by a series of video that I found that the company has made to present the computer, having a fun and futuristic animation that I think is worthy to share with you.

You can see the full series of videos on the site https://thel.io/#/

Intelligently designed

Thelio is designed to maximize the performance of every high-end component while remaining incredibly compact. Oversized fans quietly pull in cool air. Heat pipes quickly draw heat from the CPU. Ducts contain the heated air and direct it out of the system. and a custom chassis controller coordinates and optimizes the flow.

This is a breakthrough in terms of free fonts and hardware development book, for all will be a radical change when you start using and customize it, I want to have one.

Thelio, Thelio Major, Thelio Massive, and Thelio Io are OSHWA certified open source hardware.

Licensed under GPL v3 and CC-BY-SA, everyone can learn from what we've created, adapt it, improve it, and make derivative works inspired by the Thelio design. We hope Thelio can be a spark for open source hardware, just as GNU and Linux were the sparks that forever changed the way software was developed and shared nearly three decades ago. Thelio and Thelio Io design files are hosted on GitHub.

The change has begun and I hope that the development and proliferation in the use of free hardware is increasing, remember that the future of technology is and should be free.

Thanks for reading I hope you look for yours soon.

Thelio seems like a fascinating product, and one I certainly hope good things for. The post itself, apart from a few minor issues of style, grammar, and proofreading, is reasonably well written.

That said, it provides almost no editorial, personal, or unique content. If you had used the announcement as a launching pad for a discussion of open hardware, that would have been very interesting. But this post does not provide the kind of value I like to see in the posts of our Blog category.

You posted essentially the same post to Steemhunt, which is a logical home for it. I love Steemhunt, but we're not Steemhunt for open source. I would strongly urge you to read our guidelines, linked below. I would also suggest reading our latest Top of Utopian post, for an idea of the kind of content we're looking for.
