Chinese translation of Joomla! CMS - 1,182 words completed
Project Details
Joomla! CMS is the abbreviation for Joomla! Content Management System. It is the perfect solution for most content web projects. Any one who need to build websites or online applications could download Joomla! here: https://downloads.joomla.org. It is quite simple to use, but still has some technical requirements like a server with PHP and either MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server to run.
If you need to learn more about Joomla!, you are suggested to Read 'Getting Started with Joomla!' and the 'Beginners' Guide'.
The translation I am working on is en-GB.com_privacy.ini, en-GB.mod_privacy_dashboard.ini, and en-GB.plg_sampledata_multilang.ini.
When I start working on the project, I started to learn about this open source software at Github. I found this open source software is really powerful but FREE of charge. About a year ago, I have tried to build a shopping website by shopify. It works perfectly, but when I try to build an online shopping application, the application can only work in Android system. So hopefully, this application could help solve my problems.
And in my translation, the word “Consent” is quite confusing in these short phrases. Then I searched the translation in other languages, and some comments from other translators. Then I figured out to translate it similar to “approve” in Chinese. And @sunray has helped a lot to improve my translation work to be more accurate. This is my third time to do the translation work. I have learned to compare my translation to previous ones to keep consistency, and of course for better understanding. I do hope my translation could help Chinese users of this software.
