------------Average Score for Week 4957.5

  • The average of the contributions (task request excluded) is 57.5, which I believe it can be further improved.

  • During the previous week, there was one contributor, @jingis07

  • As of the next weekly report, comparative charts will be included to offer a more visually clear effect

  • It is worth to mention that persistence, diligence and consistency are greatly appreciated and valued. Thank you for all the contributions @jingis07

  • However it is important that the objectives and outcomes are also mentioned in the promotional actions. The goal is to make open source projects known to the world. This can be better achieved when there is a communication between the marketer and the project owner

  • Clicks to a website matter when a download / or engagement to the project happens (it could be a facebook like, a question to the project owner, sending an email etc)

  • It is impossible to know if the clicks to the above projects resulted in any extra visibility, promotion, downloads for the projects here above.

A few remarks

  • The contributions concerned projects included in the Visibility Whitelist
  • The specifications of the minimum 10.000 reach or at least 1.5% CTR were met
  • The presentations can be further improved and enriched with more educative content, charts, tips
  • More research about the projects would have been vital for the better presentation of the posts and the copy writing of the ads.
  • No engagement from users or interaction with the Facebook was mentioned
  • There were no goals mentioned or any communication with the Project Owners
  • There were contributions that apparently were part of a series, but no information on prior ads was provided, or links, or comparisons
  • The quality of the Facebook page making the promotion was found poor, which could be affecting the non-existing engagement

What is Utopian? What is the Visibility Category?
Utopian is a Social Platform, aiming to empower professionals for contributing to the Open Source Movement. The Visibility Category aims to shed more light to the whitelisted Open Source Projects and to attract the general attention of end users around the world.
As stated at the website, Open Source is free, common property and developed by volunteers around the world and available for everyone.Contributions in the visibility category are (1) paid search engine and display ads placement; (2) paid social media ads; (3) posts to social media accounts with at least 10,000 unique followers.
Open Source Software often runs in our computer, phone or tablet and its development relies on collective intelligence. All this work is done by the developers for free! Utopian educates, motivates and rewards everyone who contributes to Open Source Projects, provided that certain guidelines are being met.You can click here and select Visibility to read the current guidelines (new ones are being worked upon as we speak). If you have a Facebook page or are very active with a large follow on social media platforms, feel free to take a look and contact me about how you could contribute!

Hello @katerinaramm, thank you for this weekly report. I really appreciate your effort to grow the Utopian Visibility category. Well done!
I like the ''Few remarks'' and your brief explanation about Utopian. Including how you explain the Visibility category in this post. It should help contributors to improve and also drive more people to Utopian.
I think you could write the descriptions of the week overview and distinct your point with paragraphs. Also, for proper clarification, always add punctuation marks at the appropriate positions.
Thank you:)

Please note that while the CM hasn't changed the footer, I am not scoring #iamutopian posts based on the questionnaire. They have their own metric, and that will be the case until we go live with the new guidelines and new questionnaire, which will be comprehensive enough to reflect these types of posts.

Your contribution has been evaluated according to Utopian policies and guidelines, as well as a predefined set of questions pertaining to the category.
