SteemPlus 3.2 : Buy SPP
Some of you have been asking us to enable the possibility to get SPPs against tips to SteemPlus as well as delegations.
Our primary focus is to incentivize our users to use third-party services and thus participate in the developement of the Steem ecosystem.
For those willing to acquire SPP faster, it is now possible to acquire SPP directly against STEEM or SBD.
Buy SPP
For this, follow this few steps :
- Navigate to your Wallet
- Open the SteemPlus Points dropdown
- Select Buy SPP
- On the popup, you can select your method : 1 SBD = 100 SPP / 1 STEEM = 100 SPP * STEEMprice/SBDprice
- Confirm the transaction on SteemConnect
- Wait up to 10 minutes to see your new SPP in your wallet
- Earn bigger upvotes from @steem-plus or spend the SPPs on Premium features
What are SPP ?
SteemPlus Points are utility tokens that will grant you a vote from @steem-plus according to your SPP stakes.
In the future, they will also be redeemable for premium features.

Delegation is the only way to earn SPP on this graphic that has not been implementend yet. However, you can already start delegating to @steem-plus, and your SPPs will be added once the feature is ready.

Installation and updates
You can download and install SteemPlus directly from the Chrome Store if you are using Chrome or Firefox(follow this link for Chrome, this one for Firefox ).
For installation procedures on Opera, please check our documentation.
Updates shouls occur automatically. If not, click right on the extension logo > Manage my extensions > Update.

Thanks for the contribution, @steem-plus! Interesting update, curious to see how many people will actually by SPP. Also, I didn't realise you guys have premium features. How does that work if anyone can fork your repository and create their own extension?

So far it s going great with over 2000 SPP purchased!
VIP features will include work on the back-end. Moreover, they will be bought with SPP that can be earned for free by several methods.
Finally, I think someone trying to fork us will have a big barreer to entry trying to replace a system that has a few thousands users already. If a few just do it for their personal use, well good for them =)

Excellent! Now you guys are really fine-tuning the winning monetization formula for Steem-Plus. I just bought 1 SBD worth of SPP.As I had been sending you guys a 1 SBD tip in the past for one of my weekly series posts, I can now do the SAME THING but also benefit from the exchange. It's a win-win. For my FAVORITE select apps I have an interest in delegating. I currently have 100 SP delegated to SteemHunt, and SteemPlus is right up there on my "Top 3" apps at this point, so I am interested in delegating to you guys, IN ADDITION to regular purchases of SPP. Can you please write a post about how to delegate to Steem-Plus, and what the benefits will be. With SteemHunt I am currently receiving ~ 100 Hunt tokens per week for a 100 SP delegation. If you guys can offer a similarly attractive arrangement I would DEFINITELY be willing to start delegating. Also, if you make delegation available, please make lower amounts available (25 SP, 50 SP, 75 SP, 100 SP...) for those of us who are growing our SP at a steady (yet slower than desired pace). If you do that, I would likely make CONTINUOUS delgations (one every three months, let's say). Please elaborate (preferably in a dedicated post) on the delegation opportunity. I can DEFEINITELY do a 25 SP delegation every three months (at my current SP budget). Keep up the good work. Really nice to see you are finding a mutually beneficial way to monetize, which benefits BOTH SteemPLus AND it's fans/users...

Great! Look forward to that. Willing to start with either 25 or 50 SP every quarter, which is when I sell BTC for Steem. Have ~ 11 Steem right now, so shooting for a 25 SP delegation (likely in a few weeks, if you make that amount available - which I STRONGLY suggest you do, as many of us are spreading our delegations out to the various up-and-coming dApss). Please keep us posted...

Will the received coins be powered up? Otherwise the voting power will get very diluted, really quickly! I've started to build up some nice points myself.
Yes, we re converting the SBD to STEEM everyday and will use the STEEM to either power up or pay delegators. In any cases it will contribute to bringing bigger votes
Thanks. I've beefed up my SPP a bit and got a good boost to my up-vote. Very nice! The tool is pretty awesome in general, I use it every day.
Can I ask @stoodkev or @cedricguillas if it is part of the long term plan for steem plus points to become an SMT when they are rolled out? That would make sense to me and definitely make them more attractive to accumulate now in preparation for SMT launch.
We need more time looking at the technicality of the SMTs to see if they fit what we want to achieve here.
At first, we do not want the SPP to be tradable as they already hold value the same way fidelity points do. This value results from both the free upvotes according to SPP stakes and the Premium features (coming soon).
Thanks for the response. Trad-ability would have limited appeal as SPP are already freely available to purchase from you for SBD's. I understand this concern however. Looking forward to the "premium features"
