Actifit Fitness Tracker for iOS: Preserve drafts until posted

It would be great if users were able to draft and revise their @Actifit posts throughout the day ― contemporaneous with the activities that are garnering points. However, in the iOS app for Actifit leaving the posting screen clears whatever has been written. This makes it impractical to build up ones own post throughout out the day and can be improved.

Components

• This suggestion relates to the text area when taking the action 'POST TO STEEMIT' in the iOS version Actifit Fitness Tracker.

Proposal Description

• The idea here is simply to keep what the user has entered on the posting screen until it has been comitted to the block chain.

• Ideally this would apply to all fields (Activity type, measurements, etc.) However the most important draft to save is the post content, as this involves the most time and energy to revise on the user's part.

Mockups / Examples

Here is the part of the user interface impacted as shown on an iPhone 5s. The appearance would barely change if at all, so the suggestion is further detailed below as a change in behavior.

Current behavior

1. From the home screen of Actifit Fitness Tracker select 'POST TO STEEMIT'
2. In the text area labeled 'Post Content (describe your day's activity)' enter some text, presumably a note about a current activity the user wishes to mention later on when preparing their daily post.
3. Hit the back arrow at upper left to return to the home screen.
4. Select 'POST STEEMIT' to return to editing post content.
5. The draft is no longer there.

Suggested behavior

1. From the home screen of Actifit Fitness Tracker select 'POST TO STEEMIT'
2. In the text area labeled 'Post Content (describe your day's activity)' enter some text.
3. Hit the back arrow at upper left to return to the home screen.
4. Select 'POST STEEMIT' to return to editing post content.
5. The previously entered text remains in the test area to be expanded and revised.
6. (Repeat steps above until satisfied with post)
7. Select 'POST TO STEEMIT' button. Only once post is successfully posted to the blockchain is the draft cleared

Benefits

• Since Actifit is a fitness tracker it makes sense to help users keep a diary of their activity while the movements to lead to points are top of mind
• Actifit seeks to encourage and reward not only the raw motion of activity but also high, quality well written posts about daily activity. High quality, well written posts take draft and revision. It's much harder to create a good post when trying to recall all activity over the course of a day. Facilitating this process for users will lead to better posts overall
