Components

Weekly countdown is an android mobile application meant for the weekly countdowns.
The application has a very simple interface with a few features making utilizing the application to be less hassle.
The main interface displays the current countdown timing, a progressive reading of seconds and space bars indicating each day of the week.
Long press on the application shows the available settings with options to change the theme and when week should start from, giving users the option to select any day of the week but usually set to Monday by default.
The app is still new and I believe it needs some pretty improvement, adding more features to make it super cool.
I have some ideas to propose for further improvement of the project.

Proposals

The application is quite simple to use and grab my attention as an open source lover, and I can see vividly that the app could be better than it is currently, which I decided to share my thought.

If you would agree with me, I think the application could be more useful than just counting down every week.

Set weekly event countdown: At the name signifies, ''event'' this function will allow setting countdowns for different weekly events through the application.
I think this could be realized by adding an option on the setting page of the application, to ''add event'' setting to date which will initiate the countdown to start with the option to select ''show on the main screen'', or display when long press on the setting page and could be attached to the ''home screen'' which is on the list of my proposals.

Countdown type: This is solely an option to select distinct kinds of countdowns time, there will be an option on the settings page, providing the option to select kind of countdown time users want to use on his/her main page, while there will be several options to select from.
I think the app logo could be one of the available, just like the hour time glass options, more will be shown on the mockups.

Home screen widget: This feature is important and will be more relevant if the ''event countdown'' is implemented.
It is solely the ability to add the countdown to the mobile home screen to see the countdown without opening the application.

Benefits

Positive ideas lead to betterment on anything and as far as I know; it shouldn't be an exception to this project.

Pragmatically, it will be of added advantage for current few users and prospective users.
Having the ability to add event countdown will make the application to be more useful, the current behavior will remain on the application while this will serve as a side advantage for users having an upcoming event to set.

Countdown type will serve as a nice option for users that have a different drives for views, the same aim that instigated the theme is also the same reason why I think the option to create different count types will do more good on the application.

Home screen widget: This will serve as a quick remote control for the application, for fast visual and accessibility.
It will enable seeing the function without opening the application first and will make the app to be more helpful.

Those are the ideas I consider adequate for the further development of the project.
