The suggestion is for addition of media play options/feature.

Proposal

I propose that a rewind and fast forward feature be added, either via adding << and >> buttons or using screen swipe to either direction, left swipe for rewind and right swipe for fast forward.

Mockups / Examples

Right now, trying to swipe ends the video play and takes you to the next video/file in the folder. Examples in the videos below.
First I used Simple Gallery
Then another media player (VLC)

As you can see it's much better to have the swiping feature.

Benefits

These options allows users enjoy watching their videos better. You can simply skip to the part or video duration you are interested in without stress or the inconvenience of having to tap and bring up the progress bar at the bottom of the screen which takes a few seconds to disappear.
Also not everyone likes to use the progress bar to jump forward. A simple swipe is more aesthetic.
