A healthy dose of truth for Washington State's panicked parents. Relax, it's only the measles.

in #vaccines5 years ago

Yes, in worse cases scenarios, the measles can do some long-term damage, but so can the MMR vaccine. The major difference is that those few children (still less than 50) who have contracted the measles (often from vaccinated kids, btw...) will build genuine immunity to the disease, whereas those who have had the vaccine won't.

So much for all the MSM and Big Pharma hype about the "dangerous measles outbreak" in Washington. Here an excellent article that brings forward the truth behind "the outbreak:"

Consider this excerpt:

"...search of the FDA Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database as of 2/5/19, the cumulative raw count of adverse events from measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines alone was: 93,929 adverse events, 1,810 disabilities, 6,902 hospitalizations, and 463 deaths. What is even more disturbing about these numbers is that VAERS is a voluntary and passive reporting system...

These studies have revealed an elevated risk of seizures, Type 1 diabetes, and thrombocytopenia (a serious autoimmune bleeding disorder) following MMR-II or MMRV vaccination. One study reported that infants who received the combination measles, mumps, rubella and varicella vaccine (MMRV) had an even a higher risk of seizures following the vaccination and recommended that providers who recommend MMRV should communicate to parents that it increases the risk of fever and seizure over that already associated with measles-containing vaccines."

Additionally, this dynamite article pulls together a series of well-researched articles that touch on the current "Crisis" in Washington State, and are a wonderful resource for parents in that vicinity.

Especially this one titled: "Natural Measles Immunity—Better Protection and More Long-Term Benefits than Vaccines"

https://childrenshealthdefense.org/news/natural-measles-immunity-better-protection-and-more-long-term-benefits-than-vaccines/

Here is an excerpt that brings forward a disturbing trend that many haven't thought about:

"Before the initiation of mass vaccination programs for measles, mothers who had measles as children protected their infants through the transfer of maternal antibodies. However, naturally acquired immunity and vaccine-induced immunity are qualitatively different. Moms who get measles vaccines instead of experiencing the actual illness have less immunity to offer their babies, resulting in a “susceptibility gap” between early infancy and the first ostensibly protective measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine at 12 to 15 months of age."

The article also discusses how the vaccination programs have made adults over 20, and babies more susceptible than ever to serious injury from actual measles..i.e. those groups that would otherwise be far less at risk than they are now due to natural immunity. And..just as a reminder...prior to mass vaccination programs, most doctors viewed childhood measles as a mere nuisance, and probably not something that should even be treated by vaccination.

Of course, we are "far more advanced" now. We over-medicate, have pretty much destroyed the promise of antibiotic treatment against certain diseases, have created and spread and opioid crisis that is the worst in Western history, and still subject people to huge doses of radiation to treat cancer.
