NATURE VLOG in catalonia Spain + collecting wild carob

in #vegan5 years ago

I'm searching for wild carob trees. Carob is a bean pod and when split in two resembles toffee, it's sweet aroma is irrestiable. Carob can be eaten raw, but is more easy to chew after steaming or boiling the pods. Commercially it is made into a delicious brown powder that resembles cacao. I prefer to use carob as a replacement for cacao, as it is not a stimulant but has a high natural sugar content that make it sweet and it also tastes fruity!

For breakfast I add the powder to oat and water and soak over night. I also like to make 'fat bombs' with blended Avos and carob 😋
