Sepia Tones?

Black and White?

Or, the Original in Colour?

Lately, I have been trying my hand at some post processing.
In this case, I have three versions.... The Sepia Antique look the Bklack and White, and the original colour.
Which version do you like best? Which conveys the best feeling for the car shown?

Do you have a preference?

Be good. Do good.

Definitely the sepia tones!! Fits the car perfectly! Gives it that aged and timeless look just like a memory!!

I'm drawn to the sepia because it reflects the era the car comes from

the sepia seems to carry the day!

I really like the high contrast in the sepia one I think if you added the same high contrast to the black version it would be just as impact full. nice spotting the car very good shot.

I tried more contrast, and the blacks turned out overdone. too far gone to pull back from it.

For this particular picture - Sepia - hands down. though i agree with @penderis... if the black and white had some more contrast - it would pop just as much.

But i'm a sucker for sepia.

oh... and what is bklack and white? Is that a new technique?

(what's good for the goose is good for the gander...😏)

Love the sepia look, great pics

lots of votes for that sepia tone!

Well we all know that world slowly began to become colorful in the mid 1930s, so it is very fun to see in pictures what people in ancient times must have seen. I suspect, based on my research, that sepia tones developed throughout the middle ages from the original black and white.

Thanks for sharing your car, how's the gas mileage?

Wouldn't it be great if it was my car? Although, I suspect, it doesn't have the get up and go I prefer these days!

As for the colour, I am not sure ... living in the far of places of the world, outside of the US, do you guys have colour yet? or is the world still black and white there?

It took longer but we are coming into focus now! I have some shots from back in about '67, see we were still black and white back then. But by the 80's we were finding our way through sepia, and you can see in the 90's footage that its in color by then.

More detail shows in the B&W shot, but that first image looks more "authenitcally old" and is the best in this case! Very cool car!
