A week of repairing cars in Saskatoon.

Another work week is done. Sometimes it's fun to look back on the weeks events. Follow along with me(a journeyperson automotive service technician) as I reflect on the last week.

I'm alergic to furry animals so I need someone else to drive in any vehicles with pets in them. It happens a few times a year.

You may need to zoom in to the timing marks on this first generagion Toyota Supra's engine. Someone had timed it wrong(or it jumped on it's own?) The exhaust cam was quite out of time causing poor engine vacuum and poor drivability. It was a simple fix once diagnosed.

Whoa! All of the pieces that the wheel bolts to are gone! The pickup just needed some suspension components replaced, no big deal.

Honda's. They're always calling my name!😎

Look at this universal joint. This SUV was only in for an oil change, they would definatly not get too far with this failed part. And they were 12000 kilometres overdue for the oil change...
Be sure to have a journeyperson to go through your vehicle at least once a year, it's worth it.

A new shop truck is getting some decals removed by my apprentice.

Now this. Can you imagine driving around with this on your vehicle? I sure couldn't. The truck was very rough and the owner declined any repairs at all(ball joints were dangerously worn and front driveshaft was removed).
