Battle of Britain Event at Biggin Hill London - By Steve J Huggett
Back on the 18th of August 2015 a 75th anniversary of 'Hardest Day' a day during the Battle of Britain when both sides recorded their greatest loss of aircraft during the battle.
It was a grim weather day too, dark grey skies and it felt like November, not August! They had amassed 18 Spitfires and six Hurricanes and it was quite a sight to watch!
The top image was my greatest capture of the day with them all lined up, someone with a similar image got it onto Getty Images, missed a trick there!
This is a seafire, carrier-based Spitfire and certainly a favorite on mine.
What I use
Nikon D7200.
Sigma 18-300m
Software Adobe Lightroom.
Taken by Steve J Huggett.
Location
Biggin Hill Airport UK
