Reynaldo Armas, was born in Santa Maria de Ipire, Guarico, Venezuela, on August 4, 1953.
He is a singer and composer of llanera music, known in the artistic world as the No. 1 of the criolla canta.
He began to take part in musical shows at the early age of 11 years in a radio program in Zaraza; He wrote his first song at the age of 12 "My first love".
He has written 460 songs and recorded 32 albums, considering himself one of the most outstanding singer-songwriters of typical Venezuelan llanera music.
It has obtained great awards granted in the country, as they are; Gold Guaicaipuro, Gold and Platinum Meridians, Gold and Platinum Rounds, passing through several Maras, Águilas, Apollos, Caribes, Tiunas and Cucaracheros, as well as many awards and recognitions from public and private institutes.
In 2013 he won the Latin Grammy Award, with the albun "Caballo de Oro", category "Best albun folklorico".
