What is really going on in Venezuela? I don’t know BUT Venezuelan’s DO

in #venezuelaobservatory6 years ago (edited)

As far as the situation in Venezuela is concerned, the only real thing I can personally contribute to the conversation is an overall opinion piece from an outsider’s perspective. Since there will be other more fact based and specifically information sourced articles being written, I feel as though this is the best route for me to take in this particular case. I have not done any ‘real’ research as to the current facts or situation the people find themselves in. Not because I don’t care, but because I don’t think it’s my story to tell from a factual or journalistic perspective without the right information at my disposal. I also don’t have full confidence in sourcing the right or truthful information from any particular media organisation that presents the ‘facts’. So instead, I will just make some random ramblings based on information and knowledge I have accrued over time.

So that everyone understands the angle I am writing this from, I generally have a bias in my writing which is anti-imperialist/anti-war and will mostly offer a somewhat geo-political point of view on this topic. This opinion is based on what little knowledge I have of the overall situation from the ‘inside’. That's the reality here…I don't really know what's going on. I do know that @cryptosharon (as well as others) has written articles from a citizen’s perspective, which I encourage everyone to read. I hugely agree with both comments from @whatamidoing and @steamdan in the original Venezuelan observatory post. They both hit on a lot of great and valid points, which I support. I really believe that it should be the Venezuelan community on steemit themselves, at the forefront of the information sourcing and spreading, as they are the ones who can more accurately depict the internal realities. We can show our support, by helping to spread that information and some awareness in general.

So, what is really going on in Venezuela? Well, the ugly truth is that we will never really find out until at least a couple of decades later. That is how it has always been with any type of economical and socio-political event (including conventional wars), designed to destabilise and bend people’s will, whether it’s driven by internal or external forces. However, one thing is for certain. The only real losers here, are the same people who are always on the receiving end of a whipping financially and emotionally. I don’t think we need to point out who that is anymore, as it’s quite damn obvious.

There is some blame to be shared all over the place I’m sure, as all governments are in one way or another incompetent and unable to meet many demands or promises they dish up to the masses. They are also victims of their own ‘success’, and will always find a way to protect their own interests.

The way I see it, there is essentially a socio-political and geo-political financial war for control being waged against the nation and its’ people, between the so-called democratic, neo-liberal movement, and its socialist adversaries. One needs to remember, that there is a long history of western backed opposition, with institutional and internal party affiliations. These forces mainly represent multi-national corporations and their interests in taking advantage of any future benefits they can derive, in a large number of Central and South American countries.

The one thing that I am absolutely certain of is that you cannot believe anything in the press without huge caution. The deliberate and manufactured psychological warfare is a never ending bottomless pit of carefully crafted BS, from all sides of the argument. Good luck in trying to sort it out, as it’s a monumental task in itself. The endless amount of people, who constantly talk about media lies and propaganda, will do backflips and become the apologists, of the same propaganda warfare they oppose, as soon as it fits their own world view. Make no mistake about it, we are all guilty of this and no-one is immune to it, including myself. All you can do is rely on regular patterns and history to come to a reasonable and partly accurate conclusion of an overall narrative that makes some sense.

My conclusion is that this entire situation is being driven by the same shadowy forces that drive the global economic interests of the few. The debt is somewhat ‘fake’ in realistic terms. It is being deliberately forced on, inflated and compounded to make it impossible to pay back by all the institutions that dominate the world scene. Why? Because, there are outside geo-political and market forces who want those natural resources, as well as any opportunity to exploit cheap labour, amongst other riches and benefits that drives these ‘agendas’. Every empire (at varying degrees) that has ever existed has used the same methods and tactics, so why should it be any different now?

Some, or most of the 'initial' so-called anti-government protesters in cool masks, were not organic protesters. They are hired shills and professional protesters paid to carry out the exact agenda of the powerful self-interest groups…and this is exactly what they have sown and achieved. Anger, outrage, doubt, resentment, anti-government sentiment, violence, crime and chaos….to the point of begging to be enslaved by the outside force, as their saviour. The average person sees all of this and is convinced to join the party and blow the whole thing up into an unwinnable situation, irrelevant of which 'side' you are on.

This is all a plan for long term ‘regime change’, just like we see in other parts of the world. In essence, it is a long term ‘global regime change’ program, to implement a global structure and institutions that serve the makers. Not us the majority, them the minority.

Most of the above is quite insignificant from a short term point of view. The more important and urgent issue, is the humanitarian one. Once again, it’s the peoples who are the only real losers in all of this, and that’s the only thing that matters….the humanitarian one. The Venezuelan steemit community can use this platform to co-operatively find a way around the system, to clothe, feed and implement a financial solution which will benefit them all in the long term. And we can help them achieve it with guidance and our support.

What a brainwave @palikari123,

You really condensed the situation and how we should approach this.

Venezuela is HUGE and we can only do so much.
I totally agree that the effort should be a humanitarian one.

There are so many things i want to say but they all boil down to I AGREE.

@immarojas please shine your light on this as well.

Thanks!

We need more venezuelan people to write observatory posts.

Small posts with hard facts would be very helpful.

That's why I stated, that it's not my place to present the truth for them.

hello great article I am Venezuelan and the situation is deprovable and also publish articles referring to the situation. do to my blog and you will see I do not place it in your post about it. but we really need the Venezuelans that the world finds out what happens in our country.

Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. Are you on discord? There is a community group of Venezuelans trying to share and spread information to grow a project that can help you all through steemit. Here is an invitation to join the group. https://discord.gg/H6nBw9
