VIT..... Where are you?
Vice Industry Token (VIT) is a soon to be released Software Fork of the Steem platform. It will focus on NSFW content including Porn, Cannabis and Gambling and users will be able to upload and upvote content similar as to what happens on Steem.
Initially the team were going to airdrop tokens to Steem holders which I thought was a great idea to get the platform off and running, however, they reneged on that idea and decided to cancel the airdrop. Although this made a few punters pissed off, I can understand that the VIT team didn't want to automatically hand a large sway of influence to a small hand-full of Steem whales. I also think that there are a lot of Steem users that won't want to engage with the type of content that will be authored on the VIT network.
So what's the Status on the VIT network?
@viceindustry posted an update on the platforms status here: https://steemit.com/vicetoken/@viceindustry/vice-industry-token-launch-status-update just a few days ago. There have been some developmental issues, particularly the bug that was identified recently on the Steem blockchain that needed to be fixed. The VIT team wants to ensure that there are no issues once the platform goes live. I have been impressed with the transparency and communication from the team so far and they are regularly active on Steemit and Telegram.
You can register a username via touch.tube for when the platform is live and VIT tokens are currently able to be traded on the Cryptopia and hitBTC exchanges.
I am looking forward to having a little more influence on the VIT network once it launches as I am already familiar with how the Steem platform works.

Vice Industry tokens will also be given out as the major prizes at the upcoming Pornhub awards. This will also provide some great promotion to the token and platform as it launches and I am sure this will lead to some sort of relationship between VIT and Pornhub eventually.

I would like to think the platform would get off the ground but there have been a lot of things going on with it that make me question if it can really take off or not. Plus right now you have to essentially Pay for the account but it isn't clear if you essentially get that much back in mainnet VIT Power.
I'm kind of like you though. It would be nice to get in there and have a ton of power and at least have some influence if it can gain some traction eventually.
Do you know if withdraws are working properly from Cryptopia? Or is your stake in a My Ether Wallet or something already?
I never participated in the ICO and then I was looking at it a couple of weeks ago and trying to be a witness but we weren't getting updates and they were having issues.
Hi. No I decided not to go with the Crowdsale and have been purchasing on Cryptopia at a discounted rate compared to the Crowdsale anyway. I hope things go well and get up and going!
are withdrawls working on Cryptopia to where you can transfer to MyEthereumWallet?
Sure are. The fee has gone up to 300 VIT now though.

There are already dporn app for NSFW work here on steemit. Will this fork be really helpful here?
It's a totally different coin that is being created from a Software fork of Steem.... Pretty much a copy but with some different elements.
