One Yeti's Perspective #117: The Body | Mine Or His

After putting in a very long day of physical labor, my body hurt pretty good.
I thought about my body, and how God might view our bodies. This idea rolled into how God saw the body of Christ.
I was led to a verse in Matthew that explains to cut off the part of you that is causing you to sin. It struck me alittle deeper. Is God literally telling us to physically cut off the body part? If that was the case we would have millions of disfigured sinners.
Is it possible that it would be a spiritual or emotional seperation? Do we seperate our selves from the things in us that are leading us to darkness, and would Jesus also be willing to cut off the part of His body that is causing sin and darkness? Just an idea.

What got me out of addiction was when I truly understood what being His temple was. I quit drinking, smoking, doing drugs.
