Not only to learn history, this tourist spot also offers natural beauty around which is very beautiful and natural.

Administratively, the location of the Cut Meutia House is in the Pirak Mosque Village, Matang Kuli District, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. To go to this tourist spot, tourists must at least travel a distance of approximately 31 kilometers or with a trip of about an hour from the city of Lhokseumawe. But if tourists depart from Lhoksukon the distance is quite close, only about 9 kilometers.

There are several roads leading to the Cut Meutia House that tourists can choose from. One of them is by using Jalan Medan-Banda Aceh and then heading to Matang Kuli District. From the center of Matang Kuli Subdistrict, the location of this museum is not far away only about 3 kilometers. The road conditions were well paved even though there were still several holes encountered, and tourists would be presented with views of the rice fields when heading to this museum.

Before becoming a museum like this, Cut Meutia House was used as a residence by one of his descendants, before the family finally took the initiative to change this house as a museum. Finally in 1982 the government renovated the place because of buildings that had begun to be consumed by the times.

Charm of Cut Meutia House

Like the Acehnese traditional house in general, this Cut Meutia House building has a beautiful architecture. The construction was fairly sturdy, shaped like a stilted house and there were 16 poles that supported this house. The height of the building is estimated to reach three meters above ground level.

To enter this house, tourists can use stairs made of wood. On the front of the door, you will see a pretty carving. The roof of the house made of sago palm leaves also adds to the classic impression of this Cut Meutia House. Tourists can enjoy the architectural beauty of this house by surrounding the museum complex.

Inside the house, there are several collections of paintings from Cut Meutia. In addition, there are also collections of photographs such as the shape of the Cut Meutia House before it was renovated, as well as photographs of the leaders of the Dutch colonial forces. Travelers can also see two traditional Acehnese musical instruments called Rapa'i.

Besides the house, tourists can also see the Cut Meutia Monument located inside the museum complex. This monument was built to honor and commemorate Cut Meutia's services for his perseverance against the Dutch. The monument also reads a short story about Cut Meutia's struggle against invaders during her lifetime.

Not only the house, in this tourist spot visitors will find several buildings and traditional objects that are not less interesting. Not far from home there is an object called Kroeng, which can be interpreted as a sack. This object numbered three and was used as a storage place for rice.

Not far from where Kroeng is, there is another traditional object named Jeungki. This object is used by traditional Acehnese as a tool for pounding rice. In addition there are also buildings such as hall with an area of 3 x 4 meters. It is said that this building was once a place to hold a meeting in designing a strategy against the Dutch.

Cut Meutia House also offers shady and beautiful natural beauty around. This complex is indeed neatly arranged, on the lawn it is overgrown with grass and also some types of trees that create fresh and cool air. Not infrequently visitors who come at home enjoy long cool air and beautiful scenery offered by this tourist spot.
