Salvador Dalí, el autor de esta obra, nos muestra a través de los relojes, lo flexible pero apretado que puede ser el tiempo. Algunos podrían pensar que que Salvador pensó en que lo rápido que pasan las horas cuando uno se divierte o lo lento que se hacen los minutos cuando esperamos algo, pero no, el se inspiro en el queso camembert suena como algo incongruente pero guarda mucho sentido a mi parecer ya que este queso se hace ¨mas sabroso¨con el tiempo... y bueno también se derrite como lo están haciendo los relojes. La persistencia de la memoria (el titulo de la pintura) trae consigo una reflexión también: El tiempo pasa pero los recuerdos son eternos.
