Firstly, I would like to introduce you to these wonderful kids at school. They make me smile beyond words. We acted a drama in school on how Africa is moving into the technological age, and they were awesome.

The director of the school fell in love with what we were doing, he couldn't help it but be a child himself. He dived into the photo and made a whole mess of no mess.. Lol

The beautiful thing about her is that she is one of the tallest woman in the world, over 6.8 ft tall

More Money ,More Ministry..(2)- Lessons from Simon Magus

How true is the above assertion?

We have seen the priority,
To have the gospel taught in more places by More men ,
To support believers who genuinely have needs .
The Epistles warn against supporting laid back believers

2 Thessalonians 3:10 KJV
[10] For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Not even all widows should be supported
1 Timothy 5:9 KJV
[9] Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,

That said .

Today the ministry still needs “ Peters boat “ for others to hear it .
This will be houses ,event centers ,lands ,tents ,buildings.
Also ,Satellite Stations ,books etc to fulfill the all the “ go yes’”

Matthew 28:19 KJV
[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations..

Mark 16:15 KJV
[15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 24:47 KJV
[47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

A crucial detail here might be easily lost .
It is MEN who preach the gospel not material resources ,or money !

The material resources are only helpful where and if the men are available.

Men to teach and men they reach .Men to give and support ( Believers) in the case of the poor .

This is very important.

The Gospel needs men than money .

The money is for the men .

A ministry should place is focus here .

Jesus discipled men for the work of ministry ,then material support was to aid this work and its workers .

Then will the satellite station be of God,the books ,the meeting facilities etc .

I often see young ministers follow this pattern of raising funds as priority,or even raising fund raisers .
This is nothing short of monetizing the ministry .

RAISE MEN WHO KNOW THE GOSPEL,CAN TEACH THE GOSPEL and WILL GIVE THEIR ALL FOR IT.

That’s what Jesus did,that’s what paul did

2 Timothy 2:2 KJV
[2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

The proof of ministry is men .
The fruit of ministry is ministry .
Not the reach of your satellite station ,size of building.

No no no .

Secular organizations have such goals.

CNN has more reach than all Christian stations put together, coke has more followers than any church , movie and music stars have more social media following than almost any preacher .

Media presence must not be the goal
This isn’t proof of any thing .

What is on the media ?The gospel of Christ in its purity ?
Churches centers in many places isn’t proof of ministry ,who are the men and women in there ,Manning them .

Are they hurriedly placed there ,gathered there ?
Quick appointment which paul warned against?

1 Timothy 3:6 KJV
[6] Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

He must be a very experienced believer.
Able to teach ,knows the gospel and lives it .

1 Timothy 5:22 KJV
[22] Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

Don’t appoint quickly .

1 Timothy 3:14-15 KJV
[14] These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: [15] But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

The context here was ordination of leaders .

Rather than laboring to acquire buildings, exquisite facilities, labour to train men .

Colossians 4:12 KJV
[12] Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Prayers .Intense .

[19] My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Travail .

2 Timothy 3:10,14 KJV
[10] But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
14] But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them ;

Teaching ,example,

Ephesians 4:12-14 KJV
[12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: [14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Labour on the Word,ensure they are trained ,tutored, discipled ,
Such that they are no longer vulnerable to falsehood but strong in the faith .

Such men know how to endure and suffer !

2 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV
[3] Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. [4] No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

This is discipleship.

Not such men are now millionaires.
Making millionaires, getting married etc happens because of what men do !Its not peculiar to Christians

Don’t get your priorities mixed up .

Jesus didn’t have such testimonies.
You should not
You must not .

Keep your eyes on the ball .

The ministry is for and about men.

Don’t attempt to fulfill your own desires for fame ,wealth and the congregation your collateral .
It’s evil .

Focus on the message .

1 Timothy 1:11-12 KJV
[11] According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
[12] And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

The gospel .

2 Timothy 4:2 KJV
[2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Your message must be what the apostles taught only ,not what people want .

You can’t raise disciples for Christ using your own ideas, else they are your own disciples not his ..

Stay focused ,the gospel is what is said ,believed ,practiced not things possessed or owned ..
