ONE powerful insight | Africa Business
Peace Dear Steemians Business,
This week, I watched the live transmission of two town hall meetings in both Uganda and Kenya lead by one of Africa's leading businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist: Strive Masiyiwa from Zimbabwe.
Strive started his business many years ago with $75 and now owns and leads several multi-million Dollar corporations and projects...
Yep, I am telling you this is still possible - even today!
Strive has also donated millions of Dollars during the Ebola crisis...
And meets with presidents and business leaders from Africa and from across the world making a strong case for Africa and a new wave of entrepreneurship...
I would not be able to summarize the amount of information, business gems, and inspiration that he shared, but thought I will share just ONE powerful insight.
Strive let his audience know that there is ONE particular industry in Africa that one should get into if you want the best potential to make it big long-term...
Guess what that industry is....
It's the FOOD INDUSTRY....including both agricultural production and manufacturing.
He shared that half of Africa's fast growing population is currently under 19 years old... WOW!!
And that Africa has the fasted growing life expectancy rate in the world....
...just these two facts will lead to CRAZY predictions of which Strive shared some pretty unbelievable insights...
....and ALL of these people have to eat! Every single day!
Africa is indeed the slowly rising giant on our planet....and as Africans and friends of Africa we can either watch and commentate from the sidelines...
...or we can dive in as ACTORS and CHANGE MAKERS - making a real impact, leaving a legacy, while producing wealth (and making even a further impact with that wealth!)
