As part of our Steem forest initiative,  the third branch is dedicated to broadening biosphere consciousness.  This includes raising awareness of pertinent issues that face all of us  today. 

Today, on United Nations World Oceans Day, we need to focus on this issue of our plastics usage and wastage. The UN had this to say about it:

 "Everyone needs to play a part.  You can make a difference today – and  every day -- by doing simple things like carrying your own water bottle,  coffee cup and shopping bags, recycling the plastic you buy, avoiding  products that contain microplastics and volunteering for a local  clean-up."  — Secretary-General, António Guterres
