We’re imagining 90% of the upvote activity will happen in the comments section, but when the posts get upvotes, this is how the earnings will be used:
Steem/SBD earned from upvotes will be transferred to @hyperfundit.com to grow the fundraising platform and help more project creators reach their goals. SP earned will be delegated to @hypefoundation to upvote/fund charities and meaningful causes found in the Steemit community.

We’re counting on you to flag any posts or reviews that are inappropriate/spam. Let us collectively determine what is acceptable and where we should draw the line.
So your own account ends up flagged into oblivion, then what? And if bad actors appear, you have to change the keys and lock all the legit users out. How is this going to ever work well?

I don't have the answer, but like any beta we'll have to test and adjust. It cost me 0.5 steem to create this account, it's well worth the chances of it working out :)
However, if it turns into a disaster, I won't hesitate to shut it down.

Well, it's definitely going to be a fascinating experiment, but as a former director of technology for a significant social networking app (long while back, name no longer in business as such) I will tell you, you're gonna find all the idiots show up pretty quickly if something is exploitable. Once again, it's neat, I hope it works, but I don't trust "people" so to speak in large numbers, because fools seem to always float to the surface. :D
Haha yes I agree, I'm putting all my faith in the people for this to work.
A better system/separate website will follow, just collecting feedback and gaging direction with this beta/experiment.

I do too, it's kinda cool. Makes me wonder whatever happened to the comment driven ebay style auction bot that somebody made last fall, it seemed to work pretty well, but after a week or two of people playing with it, I never saw it again. I can't recall what it was called now though.
Interesting, I will try to find that learn from it.
I'll also do my best to keep this relevant. I could work this into @hyperfundit.com's operations and find influencers to promote this channel

Ive made an inquiry of the user I learned about the auction bot from, to see if we can find out it's account name and what happened to it. ill report back if i get any leads.

Yep! The topic about the posting key is weird. I would recommend keep it private, get the tplate filled in thru email or Discord or whatever and you guys as @theshop's heads just schedule the posts. That would avoid "own" flagging, unwanted "own" comments, even "own" spam posts. Btw I would use @theshop very very soon!

The posting key is a publicity stunt to jumpstart this initiative. Just working out some final tweaks before I announce this account.
Of course I also hope it works as proposed, but if not, the next phase would be to change the key then allow submission via comments on the "sell v1.x" post for convenience.
What do you think, is this a good or stupid plan?

Not stupid at all! Haha maybe my trust in people factor is just to low. The truth is that the way you're doing it looks perfect, inclusive, and very smart since it's the easiest and more functional way to do it. We really hope it works even better than expected!!!
