The #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay
A short walk through Timisoara, short because of the little time spent in this city. Timisoara is the third city in Romania and the capital of the province called Banat.
Small Vienna
Timisoara is also called Small Vienna because of the similarity with the capital of Austria. A place that I really like in Timisoara is Unirii Square or Small Square.
It is a charming square surrounded by old buildings, now restored, and with many terraces and welcoming cafes.
Before I put some pictures I will listen to a song by Phoenix, a band from Timisoara, the oldest and most famous in Romania.

Now to return to Small Square ... and to some important buildings.
The Trinity monument
The Catholic Dome
It was finished in 1774, when construction was completed after 40 years.
The Baroque Palace
Now is an important art gallery. This wonderful palace was built in 1750.
The Serbian Orthodox Church
The church was also built around 1750.
Other buildings that I don't know too many but are especially beautiful. Terraces and cafes.
A gorgeous square, a great place to walk and rest in front of a hot coffee.
