Great walk and great story!
I really liked the portrait of a monkey.
And from the pictures breathes fresh air.

The monkeys are cute, very naughty, always a pleasure to have nature around the home daily... well when they are not getting up to mischief!

Beautifully written story!
Have a wonderful day!

Thats a really nice post about the bridge with such a nice opening monkey ^^ .. your text always make me feel like I am actually there and let me pause for a while to sink into thoughts .. you can make people start thinking about their role in life just by a simple picture of a footprint ;) .. please go on like this !

I try to keep sane by using nature to remind people how we are decimating our world.

Trying to shy away from deeper thoughts along the lines that procreation in humans should be halted as law for the next 20 years to bring numbers down, just as a starting block.

Ban plastic except in the use of large products such as housing, furniture, motor vehicles etc., with law imposed to reuse. Bring back glass bottles with deposits for washing, repacking, more than once off item. Introduce paper or wax wrap paper for sale of meat as happened 50 years ago. Plus many more similar ideas to save this planet for future generations, the time is now.

I love the mix of natural and man made beauty in this post, thanks so much for joining Wednesday Walk :)

Natural beauty always beats nostalgic days of yesteryear, good memories of riding this train route over many years.

Yes I do have to agree with you :)

Yup... we need to curb our wants and needs. We destroy Mother Nature, such a shame. I love your posts @joanstewart. The monkey pic in this post is awesome. 🐒

Monkeys are on/in around our homes daily seeking out something to eat, their lands have diminished at an alarming rate, all in the name of progress?

What incredible photos for your Wednesday Walk! I love that you have a monkey! That beats my chipmunks! 😁

Would love to see a chipmunk, animals always good fun!

Wish I could send you a couple. I have an abundance.

Looks like you had a great walk. I have yet to been on a steam train, I have been on a coal train. I agree with you about older trains there is something special about them. Same with the older bridges. It would be great if they found a way to preserve the wood to give certain areas the rustic feel. In this case, safety is most definitely first.

The final footprint and your comment are spot on.

Fun walk we do regularly, changes on the beach happening all the time.

Railways with steam were a wonderful way of travel, electric or diesel locomotives don't have the same feel. The old wooden sleepers were taken a used into furniture by many, some cut them into smaller pieces to make clocks and ornamental works being solid old steel wood.

What a lovely walk and memories here Lady Joan.
Beautiful photos as well!
Blessings!

Such a pity our railway system has gone to the dogs....

Have an awesome day Stephen.
