Wednesday Walk: Autumn

in #wednesdaywalk6 years ago (edited)

#wednesdaywalk is a tag inspired @tattoodjay. The idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start.

A beautiful autumn day is perfect for a walk along the forest path and rustle through all the leaves falling from the trees.

The air is so fresh smelling and the colors of the leaves are phenomenal this time of year.

I always take a walking stick with me. Although there are not any dangerous animals on the Island, there still might be a coyote looking for a rabbit or partridge for dinner.

Before starting down the path I see Mr. Robin Red Breast is still around. He is staring at a spruce tree. Perhaps dreaming of going South when the temperature drops lower.

It’s the time of year to enjoy the fruits of the harvest.

These apples are from a tree at the edge of the lawn and the partridges like to feast on them.

Fall is supposedly the time to take stock of our lives and get rid of negatives energies. Open your heart to new possibilities if the old ones aren’t working.

A walk can have the needed effect to clear the head and make plans for a happy day ahead.

I love all the pretty colors you captured there Jo! Lovely post!

The colors on the trees are amazing now, Dee.I guess it’s nature’s way of getting us ready to accept winter. 😊 xoxo

Congratulations! Your post was selected by the @dropahead Curation Team (dCT)

It is really a beautiful landscape the one you captured... I was really curious and can't help to google that Island where you took that pictures from... then I suddenly realized that I have seen some documentaries about tourism in that island! What do you think are the best places to go? It seems that a having a lobster dinner is a must do over there :)

Best regards.

Thanks a lot! Appreciated @joelsegovia. Yes you definitely have to have a lobster dinner, mussels or some other seafood if on the Island.
I am on the Eastern side where a ferry will take you to mainland Nova Scotia- about a 75 min. ferry ride.
The Confederation bridge is a must to drive over when coming onto the Island. There are many lovely beaches to explore on P.E.I.-Cavenish, Panmure, Basinhead, etc.
You probably would like to check out all the lighthouses from one end of the Island to the other.
In Charlottetown there is usually the Anne of Green Gables play running.
Most people like to see Lucy Montgomery’s birthplace in Kensington and Stomping Tom’s and the Potato museum in O’Leary.
August and September are usually great months- no flies

Awesome! I'll add it to my to-do list when I graduated from college. Cheers.

I love these beautiful images you have shared from your Wednesday Walk @redheadpei especially the first one with that lovely, multi-layerd and cololured carpet of leaves spread across your path. Autumn is such a wonderful time of the year and I'm sure you will make the most of it Jo. (U & R )

Thanks so much dear Trudee. It really is a lovely time of year . ❤️

You are very welcome dear Jo.
