4-0

This was the last and final game of the English Premier League for Liverpool FC as we took on Brighton.

Thankfully, the Mo Man of the Match - Mo Salah was back to his scoring ways.

But more impressively is that his goal took him to the top of history in the new EPL 38 game system where he is now the record holder of 32 goals in 38 games! That is an average of 0.842 goals a game! It almost says "if he plays, he scores!!"

Salah's record-breaking 32nd goal for Liverpool set a new benchmark for the most goals in a 38-game campaign. The 25-year-old Egypt international also won the PFA Player of the Year and Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year awards. It was not always easy for Salah as he previously had unsuccessful spells at Chelsea from 2014 to 2016. This year however, he has scored 44 goals in 51 games in all competitions for Liverpool in his first season since joining from Roma for £34m.

The other co-sharing title holders of the "most goals scored" in a 38 game EPL season are Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Luis Suarez - all sitting on 31 goals.

But it was not a Salah that made it good last night. We also saw outstanding performances from Dejan Lovren who scored his 2nd goal of the season - this will give him a huge boost of confidence going into the Champions League Finals in 2 weeks time.

Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson also made it on the score sheet - Go Robbo!! Really happy for him as he has I'm sure not just made it into the Liverpool first team for next season but possibly the England squad for the coming world cup. Even the pundits are calling him probably the best left back in England at the moment haha!

And what about Dominic Solanke! What a goal, What a Goal, What a GOAL!

Like a rocket it flew into the top corner from a difficult angle as well - of course, great pass from Salah made it possible but can you imagine if you add Solanke to the super tri up front and turned it into a famous 4? Nah, the squad would lose too much balance.. But if we added a say, Harry Kane up front? Hmm....

Well, I am hyped up to go onwards to the finals and of course really excited to watch the world cup as well. It is going to be a great break from the EPL.

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it - Go Liverpool!!

Cheers!
