Iris versicolor

Very lucky get this pic this morning.

This one is an iris species native to North America. It is found in wetlands as in marshes and near shores of watercourses.

In 1999, the blue iris was chosen as Quebec's flower-emblem to replace the white lily, which is not native to our province.
