Brrr... it is cold outside!

Winter is truly upon us with temperatures dropping below freezing at our house. We don’t let the change in weather slow us down from our favorite activities outdoors. Ilsa and Gumbo are high energy pups, and they need to burn off some of that energy outside regardless of the conditions outside. As short-coated dogs, this can be a bit of a challenge during these cold winter months. This is especially true for Ilsa with her small size.

The Solution

We have turned to dog jackets as a way to help combat the cold and let us enjoy playtime for longer. Ilsa is showing off her Ruffwear jacket here. This is definitely one of our favorite brands. It is very durable and fits well. Importantly, it does not rub on her arms at all. Expect to see more of Ilsa in her winter apparel in the months to come - once she gets bundled up, it is hard to get her to take it off!
