If we as individuals want Steemit to be better, let's stop expecting others to do it for us.
With ample freedom and opportunity on this platform, we're responsible for our own successful experience.
Yes, it takes dedication and work, but nothing worthwhile is completely free.
The best use of our time and energy is towards forward progress.
If Steemit isn't working for you, change your approach.
If you want more upvotes, start upvoting others.
If you want more followers, follow others.
If you want more apps on the Steem blockchain, build one if you can, or promote it across your network.
If you want whales to interact with you, interact with them.
If you want minnows to succeed, find a bunch to mentor.
It's often human nature to expect more for less. Doing so contributes towards a race to zero where everyone loses.
Perhaps we should realize that doing more for ourselves and others will attract the like minds and attention we desire to validate our path.
Steemit, Inc. is only responsible for so much. We as individuals within a community are responsible for the rest. The more each of us do in the name of growth, the better this place will become.
Treading water, or sitting on our hands complaining about others not doing it well enough for us, is not the answer.
Make your own path.
