A great post man, and it makes a lot of sense. As you say, it's a step, maybe later, the grey ones can allow an aextra list extension, ie: top 100 are displayed, but if there's 15 greys in that, then the list will show top 115. Could that be a compromise ?

It could be a good compromise but it's fairer if we could somehow show all active witnesses and find a way to handle the inactive ones. There are two types of inactive ones, those who are only disabled temporarily (fixing a technical issue etc...) and those who have stopped witnessing.
There are potentially many solutions:
Active Witnesses|Inactive witnessesI might try and do a mockup page and make a proposal.

Yes, I did a mass update to add a link back to my Hive posts. Didn’t think that it would trigger a lot of notifications hahaha
