My today post is about the World Environment Day. It occurs on 5th June every year.

It was held in 1974 for the first time. The worldwide celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment.

"Beat Plastic Pollution”

Every year World Environment Day is celebrated on a specific theme that focuses attention on a particularly pressing environmental concern. "Beat Plastic Pollution" is the theme for 2018.

Message of the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres:

"On World Environment Day, the message is simple: reject single-use plastic. Refuse what you can’t re-use. Together, we can chart a path to a cleaner, greener world."

On this World Environment Day let's beat plastic pollution and pledge to contribute consciously to make our world a better place to live in.
