A person mentally ill in an Air China flight to Beijing, using a fountain pen as a weapon, made a flight attendant hostage. Due to this incident the aircraft had to be unloaded in a non-prescribed manner. In Air China's aircraft number 1350, from Changsha city to Beijing, a passenger made a crew member hostage. After this the aircraft turned to Jhangzhou.
Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said that the person used the pen to bully the crew member. The plane took off from Changsha City, the southern province of HuaNuan Province, at 8:40 p.m. local time. It was scheduled to land at 11:00 at Beijing Capital International Airport.
According to the Henan Airport Group, the aircraft landed at Dzongzhuo Shinzang International Airport at 9.35 am in the morning, its landing was not predetermined. CAAC said that the incident was settled at noon 17 minutes. Travelers and crew members are safe. The paper told the police that the person of 41-year-old Anhua has a history of 'mental illness'. He has been taken into custody after the incident.
