World Cup Semi-Final Match: France Vs Belgium

The first semi final was between France and Belgium and was played last night. It was a good match to watch indeed. French squad was made of Giroud, Matuidi, Mbappe, Greizmann, Kante, Pogba, Hernandez, Umtiti, Pavard, Varane and Lloris at the goal post. The Belgians also constituted great squad for the starting line ups. They were Hazard, Lukaku, Dear Bruyne, Dembele, Fellaini, Witsel, Chadli, Vertonghen, Kompany, Anderweireld and the goal keeper, Courtois.

The first half of the match ended on a good note for both teams as there was no goal from both sides. The ball possession was fairly dominated by the Belgians as they really held onto the ball in the first half of the game. No yellow card was recorded during this first forty five minutes too.

As the second half of the game started and just six minutes into the second half of the game, the first goal and which later turned out to be the only goal was scored by France player, Umtiti in the 51' minute of the match. Five yellow cards were given in the second half.

After a lot of display from both teams, France found their way into the final of 2018 world cup.
