Croatia won the entrance into The Finals of World Cup 2018!

Current cheerful craziness on Croatian streets and squares, in these first minutes after the semifinal match between Croatia and England finished, is indescribable! The rivers of love and joy are flowing through the streets of our cities! People sing and hug each other although they don't know each other otherwise.
Today, many shops even the leading grocery stores were closing their doors way earlier than their regular working hours, that way allowing their employees to watch that historical match and be part of this massive event for such a small country as Croatia is.
The other day my husband received an email from his friend from one of our neighboring countries regarding the World Cup and Croatian success reaching semifinals at that time. There was also a joke going something like this...
A French player asked a player from England,
- Whom with you play on Wednesday?
- With Croatia, - answered the English player.
- Hmmm...?! Strange! We are playing with them on Sunday too!
When my husband told me that joke that his friend sent him, I thought it would be nice if it become true. And now, it is!
The joke that became true - Croatia is in Finals of World Cup 2018!!!

Thank you and I'm sorry for the sadness your husband feels now. It would be the best if both teams could win, so everyone can be happy, but apparently, it's not the concept of the game.
However, if that can somewhat comfort your husband, tell him that the English team was a very respectful opponent for us and for sure not the easy one, but between hard work and good play shown by both side, the stars today loved our side more and blessed us with the win. 😊
