Uruguay vs France 0-2

Uruguay are known for their strong defence. However the French team had too much attacking quality. They forced an own goal after a Varane header and then Antoine Griezmann sent in a cracker of a shot that the Keeper simply couldn't tame.

Brazil vs Belgium 1-2

The last tournament "big team" was stunned by the sheer decisiveness of the Belgians. Two quick fire goals in the first half saw the exit door open for the Samba boys. They managed a consolation goal in the second half.

Romelu Lukaku was unable to score so the Topscorer list remains the same.

Today we are watching

Sweden vs England

And

Russia vs Croatia.

Not as salivating as yesterday's fixtures but important all the same.
Can Sweden pull off another major upset?
Will the Russian hosts finally be put to rest or will they be able to keep the magnificent midfield trio of Modric, Rakitic and Perisic quiet?
